If Ava goes we need to replace with a player as good or better. That is the only way the squad will move forward. Neither Battye or Harrison are close to that level in my opinion, although I do think Harrison could be an interesting and affordable squad strengthener. Agar said the other day that they were talking to a number of players. I'm sure they will have somebody in mind.

Yep....massive blow. Given it took ages to get one new prop over the line it will be intriguing to see what rabbit out of a hat the powers that he can pull off now with less than 3 months to the start of the season.

We will have to prey that none of the few genuine props we now have don’t get a long term injury early season.

I doubt they were ever going to bring in two props if they had kept ava but we certainly need another one now. I assume they've known about ava for weeks so maybe they have their eye on someone.

I think we will get 1 more prop now Seumanufagai is leaving it open up another overseas spot for us to use Wisley but depends who is available from NRL with most players settled at clubs now. Don't think there's any real quality available in Super League either un less we pay big money to try get someone like Watts or Cooper but don't think them signings would happen. That ITK account on twitter mentioned we offered Remi Casty a 12 month Deal before we completed Tetevano signing, personally I'd be happy to have Casty on a 1 year deal he us 35 but could do 1 more year probably and as long as he wasn't starting ahead of Oldezki and Holroyd blocking there development he could provide good rotation at prop with his experience could help younger forwards as well. We are only 8 days away from pre season starting in an ideal world it would be nice to get another forward in before end of January so that they have time to settle and get a good month pre season work in.

Casty. Would only be a short term squad filler we would ideally still require another front line prop.
Whatever I am certain plans are in hand and I have confidence in the management getting the right players in. I think it’s obvious that the pack is priority this time around and maybe concentrate on the backs next year.
