To be honest whether it's Taupau, Burgess or Merrin, any signing of that kind would be great for the club in the shiny stadium. I just hope the side is just about finalised either way this calendar year, so that we get a view on Boxing Day and to give Furner enough time to coach them into some kind of team. Huge changes.

100% he would. He'd be the best forward in the game over here, and by a significant margin. Big engine, but impact in both attack and defence. When he's on form, he's an absolute beast in the NRL, so on form over here, he's be an absolute game changer.
Still can't see it happening though, he'd have plenty of suitors in Aus, and was seeking around $1m a season when it was first talked about that he would.be let go by Manly. The Roosters were interested, and they rarely miss out on a target with their salary cap sombrero.

There must be some legs in this I'm convinced. Can't see us getting Tapau and Merrin though we can't afford more than one more marquee signing. According to yep Merrin deal not dead. Personally I'd go all out for Tapau and bring in the prop from hudds for a Fee.
