| Quote: Marty Grrrrrrrrrr! "If we lose Sunday and beat Salford week after were safe arent we? So how the hell is Sunday "must win"???
People make drama and crisis out of nothing these days.
Just another league game with 2 points up for grabs same as any other. Neither team will be relegated Sunday.'"
Course it’s a must win. Beat London they cannot catch us, at best they could is equal us bit our points difference is insurmountable we would essentially we would have to lose both our last games by 60-70 points each and London would have to win both theirs by similar score line.
Just win this and even better hammer them. Jobs done.

No, Boxing Day is the next must win.

If he can get into a full pre-season relatively injury-free it would do him the world of good for 2020. All we need to do is survive this year, whether that's one off bottom or five off bottom.'" I agree.Hopefully we will win then Ward can get a full pre season in, strengthen the knee even more and then he will be ready for the first game.

| Quote: Fieldheadrhino "To be 100% safe we need to win against London & one of either Salford or Warrington. London on Sunday is the most important game of the season so far.
A win we pick up the 2 points & stop a relegation rival from gaining any points this weekend, plus with our superior points difference we will be 90% safe barring a freakish set of results/score lines over the last 3 weekends.'"
Id say more than 90% safe if we win on Sunday and that's assuming the other teams below us all win. Bearing in mind both Wakefield and Hull KR have to pay London so there's at least 2 games there that one of our relegation rivals can't win - if you get what I mean
Oh and Id not play Ward this season, let hm get both his fitness and confidence back up to 100%

| If Catalans beat HKR on Saturday (50/50 in my opinion) and we beat London then we are definitely safe. We would be 4 points clear of London and HKR with 2 games to go and they play each other so can't both get 4 points from those remaining 2 games.
On Saturday evening we will know if a win guarantees safety.

Wasn`t that said last season?
When does his contract run out?
I`m hoping he can get back to something like his best form but it is fast becoming a broken record now and for me he should be on a play and get paid contract next time round which won`t happen I know.

| Think Ward will be at Leeds next season but their is a conversation to be had with him because as I said a few week ago the impression I am getting is his injury is now more mental than physical now.

Which would surely be an illegal breach of employment contract, it is not his fault he has had a couple of serious injuries - baring in mind they were both different injuries (I think?)
Didn't Ben Currie go through similar at Warrington and they stuck by him.

Don’t see how it would be a breach of a contract he would have signed?
I don’t think that’s possible however as what you can put in a contract is controlled in some fashion at least by the RFL and I doubt there’s a contract like that for full time players.
From reading the Mason/Hudds tribunal notes I think it was either Fielden or Mason himself who was on a contract which would be increased if he played more games, so there’s obviously scope for some kind of salary vs appearances element in there.
Personally I think we should stick with Ward, I think it sends the wrong message at a time when we need to try and regain some standing in terms of reliability given that we’ve just sacked a load of coaches and moved on players such as Lolohea, Garbutt etc not to mention the Golding issue.
That doesn’t mean there shouldn’t be a reduction in contract value for Ward though.

| That squad for Sunday looks strange and unbalanced to me. Dissapointed in that. Not sure why Peteru is not there considering what we need, and he is suited to that pitch. We have more second rowers in that squad than I have ever seen in any teams squad before.

| I was just having this conversation, given the amount of forwards we've chopped and changed this year and that pack is still way way below where it needs to be IMO.
Cuthbo has regained some form over the last few months and is going well. I'd expect him and Ava to start but then you're looking at only having Oledski on the bench who is an out and out prop and he hasnt played for a good few weeks now.
Expecting to see Donaldson/Ferres/JJB propping on Sunday which I think is a huge risk. Especially JJB considering his lack of game time. Agar mentioned attitude being big this week and that JJB could bring a lot on that front but I suspect the game will be very fast an open. Not sure JJB will be able to cope with that after such a spell without playing. Time will tell I suppose.
Also suspect we'll see Merrin at prop at some stage as well which is a complete waste.

Agree about Peteru maybe wrong but we seem to have ran with 3 props for the last few games.I expect Ferres to do a spell at prop.
