Are you basing your judgement on the performances v Leeds or throughout the last two seasons because if its the latter you are wrong?

Pryce is still a quality player, he can step of either foot and is tactically aware of what is going on around him, he offers a real threat and that is what GB need.

I suppose that would tie in with my continued conviction that 6 isn't his best position.

Your proposed back line would seem to present a bit more threat, but I still doubt it would worry the Aussies. I also find it hugely disappointing that Senior has retired and we haven't even produced anything close to being an adequate replacement for him. That is worrying.

You could argue that and its a 50/50 call but you wouldnt play Eastmond in the Centres over Pryce against Aus/NZ.

I think Eastmond off the bench is an option maybe darting around ala Burrow.

Burrow apart (and even he hasn't had a stellar year) I can't think of anyone available to Tony Smith who hasn't been selected that would be a significant difference maker.

my opinion of the world cup was he picked the wrong squad, picked the wrong players from that squad to play and most importantly didnt get the players to play as a team or be motivated


this year i can see bad selections in the squad, bad choice of players for the games played
i havnt seen the games so cant comment on teamwork and spirit - if there is a similar lack as 2008 they should sack him this weekend

while burrow hasn't hit the heights his display in last years world cup wasn't that bad and the fact he continues to play well when it counts means he should be in there. myler hasn't played since july. a shocking selection for me a this moment in time. but he does play for warrington of course.
i would have played pryce in the centres too. he offers far more both in attack and defence than shenton ever will.the french ran over him and the aussies and kiwis are bigger and tougher then them.
it's not just the selections. it's the discernable lack of any game plan or team spirit.. the world cup was the same. we look like a team of strangers.
if sinfield is to play you need to build the team around him and let him dictate play. when he was allowed to do that against france last year he was supurb. you would have thought smith would have known that from his leeds days.
seems to me the super dooper coach has no plan,no tactics and sends the team out hoping for the best. i hope i'm wrong, i just want to see us be competitive.
