RIP John Holmes.

A fantastic player who was one of the best in the game, and simply oozed class when he was on the pitch.

It would be a fitting gesture when the Southstand is upgraded, to rename it in memory of this great Leeds player.

There's been three things whilst watching Leeds that has made me shed a tear...

The '99 Challenge Cup victory at Wembley.

The securing of the first domestic Championship in my lifetime in 2004.

And today, upon learning of the passing of John Holmes.

I was privilledged to see him play.

A great player. And a great man. We will never forget him.

What a good un this kid was,he used to frighten us black and whites to death at the Boulevard when he had the ball in his hands.A good un when there were plenty of good uns about,R.I.P. John,a pleasure to have seen you.

Terrible news. My favourite Leeds player. A player with real style that was rare when he played, almost non-existant today.
