Trouble is I remember those days like they were yesterday.
Unfortunately I can`t remember what I did the day before that mate. ![]()
Happy days. My dad also took me to my first games, both Leeds RL and United in 1975. Leeds RL away games on the Wallace Arnold around the back of the Corn Exchange and service train or Pioneer Branch coach for Leeds Utd. I remember getting a Family Railcard in the mid 80’s for Leeds Utd games. As a responsible father of 18 years old I had to encourage my children to shave in order to take them as kids anywhere across the UK for £1. Strangely enough one of my kids was a couple of years older than me and that became a bit of a problem. Portsmouth away cost us the grand total of £20 for 5 people, £16 for me the as the parent and £1 each for my four kids. It was tough times back in the 80’s and you had to be a little enterprising at times .

I remember them well.
I started going to the games mid 60`s.
For those on here scratching their head as to what`s happening to this thread, it will go back to normal this weekend after the all our yesterdays finishes. |
