While I don't think he has played to that level for us consistently I always wonder how much of it was being played injured/ BMDs poor bench use that has led to many of our forwards being ineffective over the season.

Hoping this year we can keep Him and Ward fit for longer and finally see the best from both.

Following a meeting with one of the Directors last week, he did discuss one or two points that have been raised on here. Concern was about fitness with some of the players and some players have been given the hard word regarding fitness, players on good salaries missing half a season and every season. Steve Ward has had a meeting so has Garbutt, and although the Garbutt issue was much more than a rumour, I was advised if he wants to go he can go and a replacement has already been earmarked.
He said Merrin was a done deal but that was before this weekend, he said like Furner Merrin was not prepared to comment on gossip, so guys it may be the case that he is still coming.
They now have two marquee players for next season, this must be the two that they have just signed, but it does not stop them paying high wages to top class players, you can pay players whatever money you want it's the total salary cap that is the issue whereas in nominating two Marquee players only a proportion of their salary goes towards the salary cap. He also mentioned a number of other players who have Ben told they can leave the club, Walters, Mullally , Golding and one or two others but I can't remember their names.
So chaps either I was fed a load rubbish or they maybe a couple more in comings and outgoings over the next few weeks

I get what you're saying but it may be a purely professional decision, whereby he listens to offers and chooses the one that best suits, thereafter giving it 100% for whomever is successful in signing him. There are many examples of players taking up options to which they're not 100% committed - these are the ones that get talked about - but there are surely many more where the player does the job he's meant to.

Totally agree, changing clubs is a big desistion especially if one is the other side of the world. I am sure if he did decide to choose to come next here, he will be fully committed.
