| We never looked like winning the game despite what absolute pants the bbc commentary team were forcing themselves into trying to make it sound like we should be positive.
Brown is nowhere near international class as a 6.
Robinson looked out of his depth and like he was running through treacle when he made the "knock on" break.
Atkins and Shenton looked like turnstyles in defence.
The pack was solid enough but was matched by the Kiwi's so the only hope we had soon faded.
Not clinical enough but we have some players to work with..........just a shame no decent coach has any interest in working with them.

| i think the maori rugby gods had something to do with it
but face facts we were second best through out this match NZ didnt get out of second gear
the biggest complaint i have got was the lack of promtion from the bbc that it was even being shown live  |

I remember having a conversation with an Aussie mate of mine (I know) about playing against Aborigines, Maoris and Papuans, and he said "if you ever get into bother with them, don't punch them on the head as you will don't make a mark on them but will break your fist".
Hard headed bunch the lot of them....
