There are times when it feels like a proper performance is almost within grasp - frustrating as f*** waiting for it to happen though.

I agree the players are trying their hardest for Agar. But I'm not sure those efforts are being particularly well directed.

Hull was the first game we've had a credible first team out, and we're still missing a starting centre, fullback and stand off.

It's frustrating. We're not where we should be at this stage. It's fair that we have been knackered by an injury crisis running even through pre-season this year though, and we're now playing catch-up.

I don't think we have done well enough, don't get me wrong - some of our last tackle plays without Gale cycled between non-existent and laughable and that's not good enough for full-time pros at this level.

We will learn more over the next few weeks if, fingers crossed, we can keep the squad generally healthy.

By the time he returned to the suite last night people was leaving, it did not help because it was a Sunday evening. Don’t worry, I will speak to him. He is approachable and will discuss things if the criticism is constructive.
He is aware of the performances and issues with what is happening. Deep down he is a genuine bloke both being a director and a supporter.

I buy what you are saying, if the effort is there and we are not winning games, then we are not good enough. That is the simple answer with two wins this season. No one can keep defending the same performance week in week out. Plenty of effort again, but !!!
The young players have been brilliant but as soon as others are fit these players are dropped for more experience.
We are some 4 years into rebuilding a team. We are still giving contracts to players who everyone on here are saying they should not be playing. 4 years we still have not got the spine of the team right. How many years does it take to build the spine of the team, instead we continue to give contracts to the Briscoes, Leeming, Dwyer, Mellor and others. We cannot simply spend the same money twice, we have a cap and continuing to give out contracts to some players is holding this club back. You give a two year contract you cannot move him out for two years. That’s it, end of story.
Last night our defence was shocking for the tries we conceded, our players were left grabbing air. Our players were falling out with each other. Leeming wasn’t best pleased with Gale, Gale is getting no service. How good are Leeming and Mellor, Huddersfield are a better team without them, they took the points against us.
Effort wins you nothing if the players are not good enough, dropping balls, missing tackles etc, 4 years into rebuild and we are still talking about replacing players who recently joined us. If we are saying the players are good enough and the effort is there then the problem is the coach .

He’s been saying that for the last 4 years, we are looking for the right players to come along. Unfortunately we never find the better players, they sign for other teams.

We’ve been fed the same rubbish for years, we are no nearer getting into a GF. It has to change, if not people and the corporate lot will buy season tickets across the city to watch a football team who are now going places

The main problem for me is we’ve not got the right coach. Some signings have been very good. Ava, Gale, Tetevano, Merrin, Martin (up to this season) Hurrell (dream team twice). Some poor ones too granted but can’t say we’ve not signed good players.
