Last season would have been perfect for that. I am sure we wouldn’t have signed Lui had we had that option.
This season though, would be quite happy for us to take a look at Harrison and Day at some point. Both for me would potentially could be improvements on what we currently do.
Please no Ferres though.

| Worth pointing out that Fev have a very small squad and I'd be a little surprised if Mark Campbell, who has pumped a small fortune into trying to get Fev into SL, allowed a first-team starter to play for Leeds if it weakened Fev's promotion chances, any more than Leeds wouldn't let someone play for Fev if they were required by the first team.
That said, when Fev signed Minns there was an interview with Steve Gill where he said something (can't remember the exact words) that suggested the door might be open for Minns to play for Leeds in some circumstances.
It's worth pointing out though that whilst top Championship players are often at a similar level to fringe SL players, there's a big step up to being a quality SL starter. At Fev we think Luke Briscoe is the best wing in the Championship, for instance, but most Leeds fans seem lukewarm at best (pardon the pun) about him starting for you in SL, same with Golding, who was outstadning in the Championship. Harrison the likeliest of our younger players that you might have your eye on long term as a project (Brad Day will miss most of the season through injury) but although he's already a better player than, say, Jack Ormondroyd or Josh Walters, I don't think he's better than what you have in your 17 at the moment.

He played for about the first 25 minutes but didn't come back, he went fine on a pudding of a pitch where nobody stood out.
O'Connor didn't get on until the second half and again only played quite short minutes (as did Wellington Albert), Fev's substitutions were probably impacted by two sin binnings in the first half, we have two workhorse middles in Lockwood and Susino who can play big minutes so interchanges tend to involve them having a 10 minute breather at some stage in the game then coming back, so that uses up 4 interchanges meaning some of the other subs sometimes only get 1 session on the pitch.
FWIW I think Championship is Holroyd's level at the moment, am sure he will be a SL player in time and he's hugely promising but he isn't quite at that level yet imo.

| Holroyd needs to play decent minutes against decent men this year.if he does that over 15(ish) games then that is progress.there won't be many teams better than fev this year so he'll have to play ok just to get a look in.

| Holroyd should be playing consistently for Featherstone as he cannot be far off with Leeds. Like you say, plenty of game time against men this season will see him progress into a Leeds regular.

| I dunno - the lad is already what, 120kgs? He’s one of the biggest lads in the entire squad and probably has more to-forward than almost anybody.
He is exactly what the first team needs in many ways, even if he’s going to be a bit raw.
When fit I’d have him over several first grade props in the squad - now.

| Tommy needs 10 to a dozen or so SL games this year he wont be able to do it week in week out i wouldnt have thought.
He needs to show he is tough enough to do it at SL level and playing for Fev should help with that.
Desperately needs to start showing he be professional away from the club also.
Great prospect if he can pull it all together. World is at his feet but how badly does he want it? Its down to him now.

One of the reasons the Leeds/Fev DR has worked is that the Leeds lads know they have to perform to keep their place at Fev, never mind Leeds, Fev have ambitions to get into SL and aren't going to hand out spots in their 17 just for the sake of it. Alex Sutcliffe only got his chance last year when Cam Smith (I think) was a late withdrawal and he took it with both hands.
There are limited vacancies for middles at Fev unless you are playing at a high level, Lockwood is the captain and plays 60 minutes every week, same with Susino who is one of the best middles in the division, Dale Ferguson will be coming back soon, Holroyd will have to play to that sort of level to keep his place with Wellington Albert, Cooper, Bussey, Davies all looking for game time.
