Welcome to Wanes world. Nobody has had any sympathy for Wigan when they have had similar numbers out of a few occasions this season. It is what it is, Leeds just have to get on with it.
As we found the youngsters will give loads of enthusiasm and could be good experience in the long term.

As for the game it all really depends how Wigan show up, will they put in a strong showing after the disappointment of last week? Could seeing the Leeds team sheet make them complacent?

I see some on social media aren't happy with the weakened squad but I suppose time will tell and if we win the semi final you could say it was worth it. Personally think we should've aimed for the 2 points here but if the end justify the means next week vs Hull then so be it.

I see Hull have gone pretty much full strength in their 19 this week. Ellis back in, Kelly named but maybe they'll give him another week off.

Losing to the 2017 Pies would be an embarrassment.

I'd still be surprised if we turned you over given our form. A bit of youthful exuberance against a Wigan team going through the motions could work a treat.

If anyone is confident of a Leeds win, might be worth sticking a few quid on them at the bookies, seem to be around 5/1 to win

Don't fancy us to win with that many missing but remember us beating Cas at home one year with a load of players injured or rested.

Think it was 2008, we beat Castle 18-12 and had halves of Webb and Danny Allan! But that was at home, bit different youngster getting their first game away

Newman definitely making his debut by sounds of twitter, I'm unsure whether Walker is playing.

Bit of a double edged sword for me this one.

I can see the reasoning behind the clubs thinking...resting lots of the players for the semi next week (but even that's not guaranteed to work as over the years we seem to have done best when playing full strength week in week out and look at this year. IIRC we rested several for a CC cup and then we were extremely flat the week after against Huddersfield) but then IF the tactic works and we go on to beat Hull and then go on to lift the CC, look at how that has affected us in years gone by where we have struggled to win games post Wembley and IF that were to happen again, we have then lost the extra 2 point buffer we could have had if sending out a full strength team to beat a low on confidence Wigan and then we MIGHT end up having a fight to hang on to our top 4 place and could find ourselves wishing we'd had those 2 extra league points

It will be very interesting to see if Walker gets picked. TBH if the club has his interest at heart he should probably be left out if they think he's going to take stick from the crowd.
