| Well that has finally decided me about renewing my season ticket.
I have a hotel booked in Leeds for Friday night, as I am nearly 70and do not enjoy the return drive back to Cumbria in the dark. I cannot now cancel this. Wasted money.
I had thought, mistakenly, that Sky were only televising the Qualifiers on Saturdays.
Such a shame that after 55 years supporting the team, I miss the final game of the season, the last day of the historic South Stand and have a hotel room unoccupied. I also did not realise at the time that the Batley game was the last live game I will ever watch. (Appropriate in some ways, as the first game I ever watched at Headingley was Leeds v Batley, when a certain Lewis Jones was playing).
You sell your soul in a Faustian pact and the result is a loss of support in the future

| Quote Jamie101="Jamie101"Does anyone have numbers for where to call at Sky? Going to call them and the Rhinos tomorrow and argue the toss with them both. Someone is going to give me a refund.
How long is the 'minimum notice' for changing games? I have noticed on here and Facebook that no-one seems to know if such a thing exists. I am going to ask both for details of such a thing and to be sent details of the T&Cs for it.
Surely RL has one? Otherwise they could theoretically change the date even a day or two before...'"
The Leeds website says that anyone who now cannot attend will get a refund or credit if you return the tickets to the office. Jamie you have a clear case for a refund not a credit because of where you live and you should also get a refund IMO for returning them by registered post.
It may not be Leeds's fault but they are responsible as the 'retailer' and they should be seeking compensation for any out of pocket costs caused by the late change of date.
If both clubs decided to play their reserves now Sky could hardly complain.

| When the middle 8 fixtures were announced it was said that the dates of the later rounds could change due to TV so i cant really understand the furore of some fans.
Surely people realised Leeds would be the big draw for Sky in this mini-league?
I dont like Thursday games but i dont miss any game so will make sure im there. In fact the sooner this season is over the better so moving to Thursday makes it better in my eyes.

Fred I guess your namesake could also have been playing! (Great tackler) You should also qualify for a full refund for all your out of pocket expenses and you should pursue the club for all of it as the club cannot deliver what they sold you. As I suggested to Jamie it is up to the club to reclaim their out of pocket costs which I am sure they will try to do.

If you had planned travel and hotels from Glasgow, Cumbria or Leigh would you be happy?
Giving 9 days notice shows total contempt by sky for supporters.
All they want is the numpties to drone on about how Leigh could win the middle 8's after last year finishing bottom etc etc. "A win here tonight at headingley will mean Leigh not only go into SL but are promoted having beaten 4 SL sides" I can hear him now doing his warm up.
"5 minutes to live Eddie oh and by the way we have got you an industrial sized barrel of badger black number 6 hair dye delivered as a leaving present from all the girls"

But 6 week ago they announced that games this week and next could change. They only announced TV games for 1st 5 weeks. So its not fair to say Sky have changed it with 9 days notice.

But Sky HAVE changed it with 9 days notice. There should always be a minimum time they should give fans, as they need to realise fans are TRAVELING to the game, at what point should those fans make arrangements? One would assume with less than 10 days to go, fans could start arranging days off, hotels, transport. Apparently not, and that is nonsense.
If they want to do that, maybe they shouldn't give any date at all until 9 days before the remaining weeks fixtures. Of course, everyone would complain that wasn't enough time. Yet it's ok when Sky change the date?
And as for 'I don't miss games so I'll make sure I'm there' - well good for you. Not every fan has a job they can take a day off of at the drop of a hat.

They told us 6 weeks ago that the date was subject to change so not sure all these people have booked hotels.

| Good evening Rhinos fans, from a Leyther.
My 5 tickets for the main stand, booked through the efficient and helpful Leeds ticket office, arrived today, just before the change of date announcement was published. Unfortunately, three of those five people can't attend on Thursday - including my grandson, who was really excited about attending a 'big' stadium.
I guess these changes can't be avoided - although they shouldn't have to be - and I'll be contacting the efficient and helpful ticket office in the morning, to request a refund. For we 'newbies' to SL, it looks like it is something we will have to get used to.
The Leigh ticket office has been experiencing chaos this week, after the offer to let everyone in free for the Batley game. It now looks like your ticket office is in for some extra work too!
Here's hoping we can still see a decent crowd for a 'celebration' game!

| I would love it, love it , if, to make a point that both teams played weakened teams and only 300 turned up!
They would think twice about pulling such tricks again I'm sure
