Whilst the track and field is the main one I enjoy watching a bit of a number of others like the swimming and track cycling. I enjoyed watching the synchronised diving last night, the Chinese pair were just unbelievable and I don't mind catching a bit of the gymnastics usually.

Ones I'm not fussed by are the football (see enough of that year round), any of the boxing, judo etc, weight lifting and hockey. Usually watch golf when the majors are on but probably won't bother with too much of this as they'll be plenty of others things going on at the same time and the best players have opted out.

The gymnasts are incredible - their all round fitness, strength and flexibility is very impressive

Some of the strength moves especially on the rings defies belief - technique at its absolute optimum

but still dull

The gymnastics has been good, not sure about Johnny Vegas doing the commentary though.

On a vaguely serious point about taking 455 to Brazil, I have no idea how the commercial side of TV works but there must be scope to combine with other nations. E.g a deal with an Aussie company, bbc do the rugby, aus co do the rowing? Do Eddie butler and sir Clive need to be out there, they could talk tripe and ignore forward passes from the uk.
