| Quote nantwichexile="nantwichexile"Without a doubt the one memory that will remain with me for far longer than any other is Hall's incredibly special try at H'field. Has there ever been a more significant try or dramatic end (and we are talking AFTER the final hooter) to any sporting event in history? Wigan[i literally[/i had the trophy snatched from their outstrectched hands. Lovely stuff.'"
The wide to west try is the only one I can think of from the modern era.
Actually, Tansey's MM try against the Bulls also comes to mind.

| Quote Him="Him"Yep. And I reckon he's wrong in that too.
They dominated the first 20 mins of the 2nd half but after that we dominated them. They struggled to get out of their half and it was several last ditch tackles that kept us from finishing the game off.'"
Yep i'd agree with that. No doubt that between minutes 40 until 60 Wigan were massively the better side. But 20 minutes doesn't make a half, nor a match in RL.

| Neither wide to west or MM had a trophy on the line, and neither was the last game of the season (regular). MM was just a run of the mill league game, mid way through the season. The wide to west, although in the playoffs wasn't a knockout game for either team as it was the old 5 team format where 2nd played 3rd for the right to play 1st, both teams had 2 bites at the cherry.
Halls is most dramatic in SL history and looking back, probbaly springboarded us to the treble.

Yeah but you're missing the significance of how much that try actually achieved/won...... it wasn't just the win/2 points ....it was the league leaders trophy, no less.....in the dying seconds, AFTER the hooter had sounded

| Apparently, we haven't conceded a single point after the 61st minute of any GF we've played in.

Normally put a decisive stamp on the game around that area as well. Brace of tries in 2007, getting 8 points advantage over saints in 2008, webb hall and ablett tries 2011, ablett and hall tries 2012, walters try 2015.
Opposition always score first try when we win, except 2007.
All the grand final wins we've had mirror each other, really strange.

I remember Sinfield one year (think the 2012 GF) pointed out that JJB said under the posts after an early try conceded "it's ok lads, we never score first".....when Burgess dived over my mind shot back to Myler scoring with pretty much the same early time on the clock and shrugging my shoulders thinking this is how we always do it.
Also a great memory for me, Seven Nation Army by White Stripes being blasted out seconds after the final hooter....great stuff

| My Top 10 moments
#1 Ryan Hall try at Huddersfield in Super 8's:
The scenes as he charged towards the try line in the away end was something I'll never forget. Beer through the air, bodies flying everywhere etc. Was incredible
#2 Saints away in League: That first half was mind blowing as we tore apart the champions with ease
#3 Hull FC away in League: Terrible first half, incredible second half performance to gain the points
#4 signing Mitch Garbutt: Mitch who? Brilliant signing who has benefited our pack incredibly
#5 Jamie Peacock try in Challenge Cup Semi Final: a sidestep of a 21 year old centre
#6 Hardaker try against Warrington in Super 8s: utter class to score a messmirising try to showcase why he should be England's number one
#7 "Leeds Won't Win Another Game This Season"- Phil Clarke: oh....
#8 Keinhorst moving to second row: brilliant decision as we now see a player who is comfortable with his new position
#9 Kylie & JP in front of South Stand after Saints game was incredible
#10 'That' 40/20: Sinfield piece of genius changed the game and gave us confidence

| Phil Clarke suddenly deciding that we are the best team of the last forty years! Not a playing moment, but one that I will cherish for many years.
