| For me Hardaker Hall & Peacock fully deserve their selections and although I think both Watkins and Ablett are quality players I would have had Monaghan/Wardle instead of KW and Ferres/Millington instead of CA but Abbo was closer to selection than KW over the course of the actual season imo.
Either way its not an actual Team that will play any kind of representative match so means very little in the grand scale of things but something for the likes of Bill and co to spout off/troll.
The awards I'd hand out this year are YPOTY Clarke COTY Powell TOTY Cas and MOS Peacock.

And the winner of the Phil Clarke 'Desperate to stand out' award is...
JAMES DEIGHTON - BBC Radio Leeds
Zak Hardaker (Leeds)
Ryan Hall (Leeds)
Michael Shenton (Castleford)
Kallum Watkins (Leeds)
Jermaine McGillvary (Huddersfield)
Kevin Sinfield (Leeds)
Tim Smith (Wakefield)
Jamie Peacock (Leeds)
Daryl Clark (Castleford)
Andy Lynch (Castleford)

Not one lancashire representative was seen on that day.
Bonkers selection.

| OMG James Deighton !
Talk about sticking loyal to your listener-ship .....nobody from outside WEST Yorkshire ?
And with the best will in the world - Kevin Sinfield ?
And there must either be some numpties doing the match reports at League Express or this Dream Team voting system is flawed....Danny Brough wins the Goldthorpe Medal (for a 3rd time) but can't get past Kevin Brown or Matty Smith at half-back

| Surprised Deighton didn't choose anyone from Batley or Dewsbury just to round things out.

| As a Warrington fan, I was suprised that Leeds had 5 reps in the team - and also pleased to see that most of the comments on this subject here are reasonable and considered.
For what it's woth whilst Ablett annoys me I do think he's a very good player and should get in the team somewhere. I wouldn't have included Watkins, and Escare is a little unlucky not to be in at fullback but Bowen or Hardacker could have something to say about that.
JP's had a good year and part of the reason he's there is for leadership abilities. I've heard of a couple of coaches who have intimiated that JP gets away with certain things these days. Not because he plays for Leeds or because ref give him the benefit of the doubt. I'm not quite sure what they mean. Where do you think his weaknesses are and what could these SL coaches be referring to? (Genuine question, not taking the micky).
Hall and Makinson at wing - the latter for spectacular mid air leaps? Hall's had a good year and has got the better of Joel M on a couple of ocassions (plus scored 2 in the CC final) so on that basis I can see why he's there and Joel isn't but it could have gone the other way.

| Watkins isn't the best Centre at Leeds never mind is SL.
The rest I wouldn't argue with.

| Speaking of which, I was delighted to hear that upstanding example of principled impartiality Phil Clurke pointing out that the team selection owed much to journalistic bias on the part of Yorkshire hacks.

He's got a point but coming from him that's laughable!

| People need to stop listening and repeating what Phil Clarke says.
Ignore the fool and hopefully he'll disappear. He's at the bottom of the cesspool of rugby league 'pundits' and that is some achievement.
