I must admit I miss the intensity of the challenge cup as was, I remember also as kids we went to some well attended semi-finals at odsal.
I also miss the old fashioned style Australian tours,when our top sides went head to head with the Australians.
Have a look on you tube at a young Barry Mc Dermott playing for Wigan, dishing out some real pain and punishment .

Ah well, not just me then  . You'd think people had so many better things to do to hear 'em talk. Most will end up putting that new curtain pole up or sat at the in-laws debating whether to have another coffee or a green tea. The others that end up tidying the garage will either stand on a garden rake or get a nail through their foot for their troubles. |

You should be ok to park on Catherine Street, near the cemetery as long as you don't arrive 5 mins before kick off. |

Sky has presented the game very well on TV, but the BBC upped their game some years ago and (if they could somehow get shot of "Jiffy"icon_wink.gif arguably do the better job now. Especially as the Eddie and Stevo show is looking very, very tired now.
Superleague sounds like something a marketing guy thought up (probably because it is) wheras the CC has a huge weight of tradition, history and authenticity. But I guess, much like the FA Cup, it's been relegated to a sideshow.
You still can't beat a good cup tie though, knockout rugby has delivered the best games over the years. I think if you were to ask me my top 10 Leeds games, 8 or 9 of them would be knockout games. CC, JP Trophy and playoff. It would probably be the same for 10 worst.

Looking like it's now going to be a late decision due to me getting dragged around a bloody Wedding Fair by the missus!
I did make her a deal though I would go to the Wedding Fair if we went to the Game...so not all bad I suppose!

When I first read that with blurry eyes I thought you'd written WELDING fair.
Such a shame that you can't find a welding fair in Leeds today that you could take her too and then act all innocent when you get there culminating in her getting in a strop, falling out with you and insisting that you take her home RIGHT NOW.
Then you go to the rugby.
You can tell I've done this before can't you ?
