Great signing, improves the backline immensely. Far better winger than BJB. Give us some proper depth in the threequarters, unlike this year. If BJB doesn't fancy competition for his place then his replacement is a big upgrade. Gives us arguably the two best wingers in the comp both of whom do a tonne of quality work out of dummy half.

Off the top of my head I'd suggest you re-watch London away and BJBs two tries. With much less ball Watkins gave his winger far better service than Moon last year.

I think you know to what I refer because we have discussed the Hall/Moon area before.

You admit that Hall is a great finisher, so we don't disagree on that.

Would he, just by virtue of being Briscoe, somehow have influenced Moon's brain to change his style and actually pass to him?

Moon didn't need to change his brain. All he needed was a winger who kept the correct position. Unless you haven't been watching all the passes Hall has dropped, or gone behind him into touch, or where he has come back inside instead of backing himself for the corner? That was what I was referring to. In a lot of those cases, I strongly believe Hall was at fault, you think different, but that's all opinions.

Let's look at Hall's tries (SL games only) and who would have been his "usual" centre ...
2009 - 29 tries (outside Keith Senior)
2010 - 23 tries (outside Keith Senior)
2011 - 25 tries (outside Keith Senior)
2012 - 26 tries (outside Zak Hardaker)
2013 - 16 tries (outside Joel Moon)

He went from top try scorer four years on the trot, down to 16 tries in 2013 ... something changed substantially in 2013, I wonder what that was?

Having seen Moon too often bringing attracted defenders too close to the touchline for Hall to have any space other than by moving inside (and still not getting a pass, or occasionally getting a speculative Richie-Blackmore-cocktail-shaker pass but where the defenders are waiting for him), having seen Moon too often try to back himself and get wrapped-up, and having seen Moon fail to give the winger service, I think I know the main reason and it ain't Hall's supposed lack of "rugby brain".
