| for the last few years we've always worked with 5 senior props. This is a good idea, given the frequency of injuries they've picked up. This year we started with Bailey, Burgess, Cross, Leuluai & Peacock. Next year it will be Bailey, Griffin, Leuluai, Moore & Peacock.
I reckon we'll see Kirke go back into the second row, where we'll also be strong (Jones-Buchanan, Delaney, Clarkson, Pitts, Hauraki). This would seem to signal for me that Ablett is not expected to play 2nd row next year, as 6 second rowers is too many in my eyes.
I'd not bet on us signing another centre (Watkins on the right, Ablett on the left) and I think Smith may be heading for the exit,

| if our recruitment policy is to watch the crusaders and take the "best" player, then what will we do next year?

| Quote: RhinoNeil "The way I see it is
Cross is a better player than Moore. Moore is a decent enough SL plodder, but he's not good enough for a club who should be challenging for the title IMO.
Burgess is good enough to earn an NRL contract and was your best prop when he left by all accounts. Griffin is a good signing however.
Is it not just a case of your coach being the one that is lacking?
It is strange that you would go for Moore as well. They had Chan, O'Hara, Flower and Bryant who are all better players. Why not sign one of those?

| Underwhelmed by this rumour.
Would rather see Ambler get some first team action next year.

Yup, hope it is not true.
Is Moore one of Brian Mac's mates from his Bulls days?

| What has it come to when we are taking seriously a link to a player like Richard Moore? If that's where we are currently aiming to recruit, then it's time to change the recruiter...

| Spot on batley, Moore is a decent player but not at all in the class we need what does it say to the young guns out on loan. Amor has definatly come a long way at Wakey and Ambler did well for us and indeed I suppose for Harlquins. Surely these lads along with such as Singleton are the way forward if no ready made good, stress good forwards are available.

| So we've let one of the best young props in the game go to the NRL and replaced him with a 30 year old bald ginger?? FFS.
I'd much rather we didn't sign a prop and give Amor or Ambler a chance instead of rejects like Moore.

| Oh the outrage.
Would this be the same Richard Moore that was pretty much the best prop on the pitch for either side when Crusaders visited Headingley in SL?
I'd have him over Leuluai any day of the week. At least he can play more than ten minutes without looking like he needs an oxygen cylinder.

Who is taking it seriously? It's a rumour from Dave Nosey Parker in the sun. You can rest your knee. Don't want you to over-jerk it unless and until the signing actually happens.

If it was Dave Nosey Parker who had come out with it on his own then I wouldn't be interested, never mind concerned, but it's also red hot over here that this is true. The rumour is that Cas and Wakey were interested, but that Moore has told them Leeds have been in touch and it looks like he's going there.
If, and I agree it's still an if until it's confirmed, then it is a very poor signing indeed.
Andy, I personally wouldn't have signed Leuluai again, his best days are well behind him, and we've know this for two years.
