Quote Remarkable_Rhinos="Remarkable_Rhinos"1) Sam Tomkins - Because he's an outstanding player, but moans, complains and cheats. I like outstanding sportsman that are modest and ambassadors for their game. Not ones that are arrogant and poor role models. Examples of the former would include David Beckham, Rafa Nadal, Lee Westwood, Kevin Sinfield. Examples of the latter would include Ronaldo, John Terry, Tiger Woods, Ronnie O'Sullivan & Sam Tomkins.'"
To be fair, as much as I like Sir Kevin Sinfield, he is known to have the odd moan to a ref. Just every now and then. Not that I'm suggesting he's in Sam Tomkins' league or anything.
I also dispute that golfers are sportsmen, but that's a different debate altogether....
Quote Remarkable_Rhinos="Remarkable_Rhinos"3) Lee Smith - Because he COULD be amazing. But instead he's a posing, lazy, money grabbing, glory seeker who thinks (and wishes) he's a footballer.'"
We refer here to the 3-time grand final winning Lee Smith? The one who scored in all 3 of the back-to-back-to-back grand finals? The one who won the Harry Sunderland trophy in 2008? Bit of a poser, perhaps. Not done a bad shift at Leeds though has he?
Is glory seeking a bad trait in a sportsman either?
