It’s nice to hear that Kyle Amor is doing well considering that Luke Ambler is on loan to Harlequins. Amor wasn’t looking all that promising in the first team last year. But he’s certainly shut me up after that performance he put in for England v Cumbria. Its pleasing to know that he's kept his game up after that one!

Going by the match report he did well defensively saving 3 tries and also kicked 2 goals.

| Enjoyed yesterdays game and so did the missus. Thought we capitalised on mistakes in the first half and put in a solid show up front led by Amor. 2nd half was always going to be an anti climax and so it proved to be as Leeds rarely troubled Hunslets try line and seemed to be pinged for needless penalties allowing Hunslet to expend little energy pinning Leeds into our own 20m. Some nice biffo between the teams as Hunslet were out for a modicum of revenge after last years blowout and a few new boys out to prove their worth.
All in all an enjoyable game where it was deffo a "team" effort where everyone put a shift in defensivley and a few poked there heads above the parapet namely IMO of course Hood, Amor, Hardaker and Casey, Kettlewell was solid enough too.
Roll on next year!!

| He was quick enough to pounce on the hunslet mistake. Didn't really get much chance to put his foot down against anyone. He is tiny though and did have a decent step. Not shy in tackling either.

| good workout for the u20s they played some good rugby, Amor and Casey head and shoulders above rest though, Hood will be an undoubted star of the future and some good play by Aston Wilson at centre, looks a good lad. Hardacre did everything asked and looked very composed will hold my thoughts on Kettlewell not sure he has the size for super league but only young. Will be along season for Hunslet I'm afraid have seen them twice this year now and they seem a little lightweight for me.
who says we have lost the way to produce young stars, then watch these lads go.

| Can anybody shed much light on the bloke who gave this cup it's name at all? I know it was a Mr Lazenby who was on the Leeds committee in or around 1911 who doanted the cup, but does anybody know any more about him or can suggest where I'd find out more? None of the Leeds history books I have go into more detail than that. Thanks...

I am sure people said the same regarding burrow size. Only young and he will bulk up a bit, but he is at the right club for when people say he is too small just has to look at the number 7 in the first team!

| I grew up watching Hunslet at Parkside. Used to love the summer evening midweek matches. Something great about finishing school and then going to the game. My favourite player at the time was John Griffiths. The thing I'll always remember about the ground was the overwhelming smell of St Bruno pipe tobacco. I switched my allegiance to Rhinos about 20 years ago but still have a soft spot for the Hawks and hope they survive in the Championship 1.
