In the league express there is a similar sort of letter from a wire fan calling fans fickle and stating that most are not real fans and should not shout foul, abusive and homopobic comments.
On his point of being ficklei wonder if his attitude would have been the same if Joel signed for Wigan. I dare say the letter would not have been written then

If I were to shout "Monaghan, you're a dog f*ck*r" whilst I can understand it might be foul and abusive how would it be homophobic?
Do Tony Smith and the Warrington fans understand that homosexuality and Bestiality are two separate things?

On a serious note though...
I do think G1 (and others) are right and Mr. Smith's comments could be in danger of seeming to compare Bestiality to Homosexuality. Needs to be careful there.

To be fair he has come out to try and make sure that his player does not get too much stick, the only issue is that he has not done a good job and made things worse.
It would have been much better to say nothing, let him cop a bit of stick and it would have gradually gone away. All that has happened is stoking things up a bit
