We all have our ideas on how the game should be played but eye gouging is no no and for some to dismiss it as it's o.k. it was against an Aussie is frankly abhorrent.

So its eye gouging is it , I wondered what the hell you were in a flap about.
As G1 has already succinctly pointed out to you, you are concluding from a still frame that Smith has his thumb in some random aussie's eye - a still frame where you can't actually see Smiths thumb, a still where we don't even know if Smiths hand is touching the random aussies face ( you do realise that photographs tend to be two dimensional don't you)
Add to that the fact that the "victim" did not complain at the time, he did not require treatment at the time, none of his team mates complained at the time, the referee did not complain at the time, the assistant referees did not complain at the time, the video referee who has access to all of the video footage did not complain at the time, the australian team management did not complain at the time and have not complained since having had access to the footage, none of the 24000 in the stadium complained at the time - and to cap it all YOU DID NOT COMPLAIN AT THE TIME.
You only decided what had happened when you saw a photograph 24 hours later, you jumped to a ridiculous conclusion and you decided to come trolling here, and now you can't even be @rsed to go seek out a video to look properly at the non-incident.
Are you sure you weren't trolling, because the rest of us are convinced you are.
