I’m going to stick up for Sean Long here.

You try been raised up an estate in Wigan that’s a step up from the slums of Mumbai - I grew up in Leeds equivalent. Think I’m joking?

You ought to check out the parade of shops we have on our estate and the life than hangs around they. Luckily for Sean Long he’s been given the chance that many estate dwellers like myself were never given - to shine on a rugby league pitch nationally. He’s only doing what a majority of people would do where he comes from if they where given his chances.

For all the trouble Sean Long has received over the years he’s chosen exactly the right time to release his book IMO. If this was released after his playing career was over and that of others at Bradford then it would have been a non story. He’s come out and stated everything honest now we can look at St Helens rugby league club along with Bradford Bulls as gambling Mecca’s for players.

I know of a certain Leeds player whose a regular in the bookies but I won’t even get into that. Any sport that’s marketed to the masses is fixed one way or another to keep the sport financially successful for its investors.

Way to assume a majority of people on such estates are dishonest.

Does the Leeds player you see in the bookies bet on Leeds games?

In what way are all these sports fixed?

With everyone at some point in their lives they have an element of dishonesty about them. Thankfully most of us learn that its wrong. All I’m saying is if we was Sean Longs position we’d do pretty much the same.


Someone told me that a certain player goes into his bookmakers a lot. He’s not much of a Leeds Rhinos fan and not someone to spread rumours about - nothing about betting on leeds games though.


Do some research on illegal betting rings and that’ll answer all your questions. You'll just get deeper into the conspiracy then!

The main reason why people go out and get ed and sleep with another one is a form of escapism from their unfulfilled lives. Honestly all that some people live for these days is that picture on Facebook with their mates getting ed to make it look like there have lives. But you look through that photo of weekend mayhem and into the lives of some of these people and they bored all the time.

No wonder why they need escapism booze-fuelled weekends to escape from they miserable lives. God help the next generation if its going to be a copy cat of this one!
