| We all make mistakes at work. Let’s think about the mental health of those who we’re talking about eh?

Stuart Cummins wasnt the fittest or the fastest but he could read a game. Watch Antony Sullivans great try for Saints at Wigan. Cummins was waiting for him in the in goal, he saw it before it happened and get pedalling.
Ironically Stuart was the one who made fitness a priority and people like Ashley Klein was fast tracked cos he could run all day long, he needed to cos he had no understanding of the game.
Kendall is similar i feel but eh anyone thinking Kendall cost us the game Thurs has far less understanding than he does. If anything he helped us with the latitude he allowed at the ruck.
Some bizarre calls last night at KRnt but in the main i think the refs have made a good start this season actually.

It was very frustrating the amount of times we took it in on the 5th. I can understand why teams do it but surely it is better to go for repeat sets or challenge for tries than simply play it safe and score nothing?'"
Agar said in his press conference after that wasnt the plan at couldnt understand why it was used so much.

| I dont think anyone has said or intimated that Kendall did cost leeds the game (he was close for kr last night). I'm saying (in my opinion) his performances are consistently not of the required standard, you know in the same way someone may suggest that of a players performances.

Why wouldn't he Leeds are a bigger club than Cas great stadium very good training facilities and his travel will be a lot less than going over to Warrington. He would also renew his partnership with Gale.

Cas have finished above us last couple of seasons. Cas play in a style that you could argue suits him. He rates Powell and the way he could develop him.
In terms of wire they will likely offer more money than us, especially if they ditch both widdop and Austin when Powell comes in. Again he rates Powell and how he will develop him.
Agar isn’t known as a coach to develop players, in particular half backs (he may look at Mclelland in that regard)

You say that Seth, and most of us would agree, but he was appointed to a major final last season and onto International group of referees so the powers that be clearly see something differently.

No they haven't, we finished well above them last year won The CC
Since Powell as been at Cas they have won the LLS same period we have 3 cups 2 GF 1 LLS and we are in transition, ludicrous to suggest Truman would not consider signing for us we are likely on our way to being a real force and a generational team again could win 3-4 GF in next 10-12 years why would be not be a part of that, he may well follow Powell to Warrington and get a big pay out, but I reckon he would win far more with us.
But I reckon he’s not even massively on our radar.

I'm not sure Trueman needs developing he's a pretty natural player but I'm sure Sean Long could teach him a thing or two. I personally don't think we will be in for him as we have signed Eastmond. As I put earlier I'd Eastmond doesn't kick on then I would hope we would at least test the waters to see if he was available.

| I think they'll be patient with Eastmond given that he's already at the club. Watching him on Friday reminded me of seeing both Sandow and Barba for the 1st time in SL. They were both way off the pace but within six weeks they were winning matches. Not saying Eastmond will go the same way but the ability is there. Trueman is contracted to Cas for this year and next, so any club in the market for him any time soon is gonna have to pay a whopping fee on top of what will be close to Marquee wages.

I know, its baffling to say the least. It's not just individual errors I just dont like the way he manages the game in general or communicates. Must be slim pickings for refs

| The trouble with Kendall is, for whatever reason he doesn't seem to have a feel for how players play the game or what they are trying to do. That incorrect play the ball was a case in point. Sure you could penalise it as not technically correct but the reality is referees ignore most stuff like that just to keep the game going. As long as a player makes an honest attempt we carry on. A referee with a real understanding for the game would ignore it as a reasonable effort in the circumstances, not trying to gain advantage through foul play or a speedy play the ball. The obstruction no try last night likewise. It was just a dumb reading of how the game works and what players do.
If only Thaler was in better shape as he's the best we've got at that side of it, understanding and managing players through a game.

| The thing that annoyed me was that I don’t think the Wigan player put his foot on the ball at the PTB just before their try after that. Inconsistency. If you’re going to be pedantic be consistently pedantic.
