Most of the NRL 'names' mentioned are bog average players. Sandow, Roberts Lui etc would barely improve a mid-tier SL side, let alone one wanting to challenge for honours. The gap between the best NRL halfbacks and the rest is massive, with a real shortage of quality across the NRL as a whole.

You'd also have to sign them up for 3 years most likely, meaning both cap issues and being tied boots and all to a player who's never delivered regularly in the NRL. If you're going to take that sort of gamble then Brierley would be at least as good a bet and far cheaper.

One of our players for next season, Mullally is going out on loan to Wakefield for the rest of this season from Huddersfield.

Not surprising .

Though it's better than not getting any game time at all.Shame we couldn't get him on loan instead.

If Mullally is not good enough for Huddersfield what makes anyone think he is going to add any value at Leeds?

Daniel Smith has signed a four and a half year deal with Huddersfield.

Wakefield wanted some cover until the end of the season, and with Mullally moving on anyway the Giants were happy to let him go on loan until the end of the year.
