Whilst signing Ellis is good business for Ull i doubt GH and others will be quivering at the thought of motor-mouth Pearson running your lot.
Great signing no doubts at all but you are still "Way Off" top 4/5 and even further from the "Big Gun" AP claims you to be.

But why is it silly? I'm confident that hull are still no hope with or without Ellis. Good luck to Gaz and FC. But if I fancy wearing an FC shirt to the NRL games and the 2/3 leeds games i will get to instead of my Leeds shirt then I will. It makes me a good sport rather than bitter. Coz I'm a man of my word.'"
Are you baseing that on the last 4yrs under the old board and the clown that was Agar.We have had a complete overhaul of the coaching team, facilites and players.we know we arent going to be world-beaters over night but we are improving steadily.Ellis is a signing of intent and may now make us a club worth signing for.

| It'll be a shame to see Ellis in another teams shirt but this covered it from a Leeds perspective. At the end of the day we already have a lot of options in the back row.
Quote: The Biffs Back "Gaz would be a great player to have back on board at the club without a doubt, He would almost be a luxury signing.
If we don't happen to re sign Gaz then so be it, as it won't weaken what we already have in place at present at the club
IMO we don't need to panic if we don't get him back, and then just go out and sign someone else instead.
I have complete faith in our junior players like Ward and Singleton who are chomping at the bit in the U20's and are clearly able to make the grade at SL level and very quickly too'"

Pearson is still sorting the mess out from GHs bloody missus running the club and how is he a motor-mouth...what he has said and promised,he has deliverd.

| for me this signing for FC reminds me of Craig Fitzgibbon a player who will greatly add to the team, but won't be the one to take them to the next level, to competing for the grand final, Half Backs are what they need, but still very good signing for them

| Quote: Tongan Mafia "Choosing Hull Over Leeds LOL and for less money by the sounds of it
The quote from your coach was "potentially some more lucrative offers" which is a as woolly as they come and also makes no reference to Leeds.
Given our chairman's reputation for being careful with money and our well known strict salary structure I don't believe anyone could credibly argue that he choose Hull for less money that Leeds would have offered.

| Not too disapointed with the news. We have lots of very good second row, lots of young tallent and not a area we are desperate in. Some good youngsters coming through as well. Some mentioned why sign Delaney but for me he has been great this year and I am more than happy with the extension he got. Ellis would have been a luxury signing.
Should be good for SL Gaz going to hull and not the current big 4. Think hull need more than Ellis but they are going in the right direction. Will be interesting to see what will happen as hull appear to have a few SR AS WELL.
What about swapping g Manu for hauraki? Certaining looks more like Ali than weller does?
Good luck to hull they have got a good player is ellis

And you saw each and every contract/terms/dialogue submitted from every club? Say what they want in the media I not believe for one second money wasn't a a big factor in the move to Hull!
Every club in SL apparently spoke to Howes, he does not kid me saying that he genuinely chose Hull over Leeds, Wire and Wigan because he felt he could win trophies at Hull, no disrespect but I find that highly amusing! And for the record If I was Ellis based on trophies alone I would have spoken straight to Warrington and worked under Tony Smith.

We are undoubtably a work in progress and we all understand that. However, Salford away apart it has been an encouraging start to the season which has already included points from Saints and Warrington who are established 'big guns'!!!
We have players still settling in, one new signing yet to make his debut and the offensive side of the team just beginning to find it's way (hence the Widnes stuffing). That coupled with the best defence in the league right now, we are a team the big clubs will not take lightly

| Quote: RhinoNeil "Disappointed?...yes. Did we need him?...no. Was he a luxury that may have taken more cap than other successful squad members?...Yes.
To be successful you need a big squad depth with a fine balance of real quality on a budget, if Hull have thrown lots of £££££ towards him then good luck to them but its not the formula to win Super League at present.'"
Correct, the formula you need is a good coach, good crowds and a motivated team littered with Internationals, all of which we have here in Hull.

I do agree in somewhat your saying (I've only been to two games this season) but from those two games Horne has improve seem to have alil kicking game going, Seymour is making the different.
We're never had a settled 6 7 partnership since cooke and horne in 2006, i do think we need another half back but something good is happening and without writing this season off already i can't wait for next season

Sorry have i missed where you've become this "Big Club" ,challenging for all these finals and taken the SL by storm??
Like i replied to other-one great signing but still a long long way off from where AP said you would/should or will be or whatever "promise" he made when he took over and again i doubt very much GH is quivering because Ull have won the race and signed Ellis as good as he is.
I love this hatred for GH's mrs wasn't she involved in the Gateshead merger that saved your lot from extinction and also prominent on the board when you won the CC in 05 and made the GF?
