How does that compare to Fryatt and Lambert? From memory, those 2 have got more in the league, but it may well be from more games. Saying that, Lambert has been playing in a much poorer side than either Beckford and Fryatt, so I can only agree with his inclusion.

As a Leeds fan, I think given the goals to games ratio (33 from 34) that he should have been included in this squad, but i do think Fryatt is worthy of his position... also thought Simon Cox should have been in the team, playing for a small club like Swindon Town, bagging 30 goals, and also 3 hat-tricks is quite a achievement.

Nope ive seen him about 7 or 8 times this season, he's missed sitters, scored crackers, been lazy cost the club an automatic spot due to the games he's missed for talking back at a ref (1 of which in the 89th minute in a game already won)
liability, i'd snap anyones fingers off at £2m

How does that work??
We would not even be in the playoffs if it was not for Beckford.......he has scored 33 goals, what more do you want from a striker?? Would you prefer one that works his socks off and scores you 10 or 15???

As it stands:
Beckford (Leeds United) 33 goals in 39 appearances
Fryatt (Leicester City) 31 goals in 51 appearances
Lambert (Bristol Rovers) 28 goals in 47 appearances
Beckfords scored more and played less than the other 2. Probably his disiplinary record stopped him from getting in the team

I'm saying that he's missed 6 (i think) games 3 for 2 yellow cards backchatting the referee and 3 games for his blatent elbow from the TV Game
at least 3 of those games Leeds dropped points, had they have had Beckford playing and the threat of goals he has in him Leeds could be sitting 2nd now.
but becasue he couldnt keep it shut in the 89th minute he got himself a ban

He got banned cos the Footbal League decided to bring a special "lets screw Leeds over" rule cos Beckford had already been booked and shouldn't have served that ban. Only got the 3 matches cos it was live on sky
Got the other red card for punching the ball away.
He'll make up for it if he scores the winning goal at Wembley

Still a silly booking to get in the 89th minute when you know your going to miss a few games for it.
was it really worth punching the ball?
had he not done that (i think Leeds did ok during that ban thought IIRC) would Leeds have been in the play-offs

So you prefer to say he has cost us automatic due to missing a few games, rather than say he has actually given us a chance of promotion with his goals????
Quess you are a glass half empty type then!?

He's missed sitters, don't forget that as well. He's quite obviously the only striker this season to have missed sitters.
