Luke briscoe is ok. He works hard but looks a bit small and light to me.

In an ideal world we would replace him but as others have said, it's not a priority at this point. Handley also offers another option and perhaps even Golding so overall we are ok in that department.

Good start but we need a tough prop and a hard running back row.
With Ward being as injury prone as JJB was and Ferres seemingly always unfit isn't helped by the age of Ablett&JJB.

No use having good centres and half back if the pack is smashed every week

I think he has looked OK too seems to be a fairly strong runner an has a bit of speed, I’m not overly worried about spending big for a winger we have bigger problems ti tackle before that IMO I’m happy to give Brisco s chance for next year

Fair point though I must admit, I'm looking forward to watching a side that offers a threat through both centres. Seems to be something we see less and less in the British game but when I cast my mind back to sides I've enjoyed watching most - not just talking Leeds here - they've always been strong in this regard.

SL and especially Leeds do love big strong Centres. I can see him doing great.
It's just as I said, we are still missing a leader to guide and kick the team around the park. Will Myler or Lolohea be spending the off season learning those skills ?.

The forwards are the second biggest issue. We can cope with cuthbo being a bit lazy in defence if we are getting a roll on and he can use skills.
We can cope with injuries or abit of unfitness in Ward n Ferres if we have two good players to rotate them with. Atm it's JJB and Ablett.
Garbutt has done well and Singleton is ok. No idea on Peteru,see how he goes with a full off season and no injuries.
Mullally,Oledski,Crosby...I'm not sure on.

If that's our starting pack expect a long hard season similar to this year.

Dont think we can be serious contenders with a starting pack like that, with Hurrell and Lolohea signed we need to sign two forwards, prop and second row or 2 second rows for me, ward to 13 injury free of course.

L.Briscoe should be given a run outside Hurrell, Hurrell should create some space for him and tie in defenders, the concern could be defence, a savvy attack would try to get Hurrell to bite at a big hit and have a stronger winger hitting Briscoes inside shoulder, but that would take a decent couple of players to execute

This a good signing, I just hope he can stay fit and out of trouble.

He's going to be in for a shock on boxing day
