| It's about where you were born OR bred.
However, if I moved to somewhere out of reach of my roots, I would try to support the team there. I am, after all, a massive RL fan, as much as a fan of my club.
And, yes, I was being a bit tongue in cheek with this thread, but the point about nouveau fans from outside of Leeds, suddenly being Loiners is valid.
That's glory hunting and certainly looks that there will be no glory at Headingley this year. What will those fans do?
Oh, BTW, I think Leeds generate the best match day experience going and fully understand why they attract fans from outside their normal catchment.

I was born and lived in LS7 for 20+ years. I've lived in a WF postcode for the last 20 years.
Although I've got a WF postcode my nearest club is Bately.
What should I do, it's so confusing?

Bately! Is that the how you pronounce it now? I was brought up in L6 (Far Headinglee of course) but after 25 years moved to HG3 (Harrogarte` as we call it) with a few years in the Knaresbaroo area before enjoying the sunshine in Alicanteee!

| I live in WF4 and have been a leeds supporter since the early 60s, hardly miss a match home or away. Will continue to support whatever happens. We had a great season last year lets take it on the chin and move on. For you that think postcode matters bog off, we don't leave games early and do not boo like some. My son , son-inlaw and nephew support leeds, my Grandson supports Waky so what

It's a cracking atmosphere at Mount Pleasant on Match day.
You know what, I'd kind of enjoy the middle 8s experience, visiting grounds I hadn't been to in ages and much smaller, far less successful clubs that could use our money like, you know, Bradford.

If it's the option of scraping a Top 8 spot with little to no chance of reaching the Top 4, then Middle 8's would be preferable IMO. It'd certainly be an experience for the remaining bandwagoners, glory hunters and postcode traitors who are not accustomed to such alternative old school RL venues.
Even better if Hunslet were to scrape into the Middle 8's and face Leeds at home. Printer could step outside of his home 5 minutes prior to kick-off and still walk it there in time.

I think Hunslet would do very well to face Leeds in the middle 8s this season but I get your point.
I have a few friends who, like me are a BD postcode person but they have chose to support Leeds in the last few years. Very strange folk
