| Cuthbertson injured, McGuire injured, Sutcliffe injured, Handley didn't look too healthy either.
Not that I’m a conspiracist or anything but that was probably the most expensive game we’ve played this season and who do we happen to encounter next week but the same team that conflicted all those injuries.
Now how often does it happen that you play the same team two weeks on the bounce?
The conspiracists among us may think that Radford has deliberately advised his charges that they needn’t be too concerned with player welfare when it came to the Leeds players.
The Sneyd tackle on McGuire was nothing more than an intentional attempt to inflict injury – which was extremely effective. It will be unlikely that Mags will see another game this year

| Just watched the sky sports highlights, and Sneyd definitely twists McGuires leg to turn him. However, the injury appears to happen from the reaction of Sneyd to McGuire kicking down on his head. Hard to tell the exact point, so will have to see what the disciplinary come up with.

| It wouldn't have looked so bad if it had all happened with the momentum, however there's a slight pause when the tackles complete then it all happens.

Strangely reminiscent of when he injured himself in the "rugby gods" incident with Houghton shouting over him there. Very strange all round.

Think Houghton was peaved at Mags kicking out at sneyd with his free leg...however as McDermott has said post match, he was desperately trying to prevent his ankle being broken (in vain by all accounts)

| If Sneyd wants to prevent a quick play the ball, he can do that by just lying on McGuire's legs and holding him down.
He's grabbed one ankle and gone into a crocodile-style death roll instead. That's not trying to slow the play the ball down, that's a deliberate attempt to injure a player. If Sneyd has any plans for Tuesday night, I think he needs to be making other arrangements as I suspect he'll be at Red Hall. Although nothing the MRP do at the moment surprises me in the slightest, given they seem to see their job as being preventing the disciplinary panel needing to meet at all.
If you look at the sentencing guidelines on the RFL website, putting pressure on the joints of an opponent carries a maximum Grade D (3-5 games). If he cops a Grade D charge, he can't use the EGP and any serious injury to McGuire would be taken into account as an aggravating factor in sentencing.

In Russia at moment so sky won't let me access it (unless I can be bothered to hide my IP address later). Hoping it might be on Leeds Rhinos site soon as have no problem accessing that (or NZAus TV on Youtube)
It doesn't sound excusable though from all accounts.
If he has broken his ankle let's hope the RL has the bottle to ban him for the same period McGuire is out of contenion.

What was Chase charged with for his attack on Ferres?
Similar level of grubbiness

| I don't it's deliberate ( certainly not to injure McGuire), more reckless, will get a ban, maybe 2-4 matches.
I'd hope Sneyd will apologise to McGuire and let's hope the injury isn't as bad as it first looks.

What other reason can he have to twist the leg like that. As said above, if he wants to slow the PTB he can just cling on.
Ablett certainly reacted like he thought it was deliberate from his front row view

| Even watching it again I don't think he did it to inflict injury, more to roll him over. However, players have a responsibility for the safety of others. Its as reckless as a mistimed high shot and deserves a ban. Danny's son Bunning was probably because her received a warning not long before.
On a positive, well done Keinhorst. Tackled his balls off and showed some good touches with the ball (2 assists and a try). Who would have thought he was a better 2nd row prospect than Walters. It was shocking how Abdul did him for pace to set up their last try.

absolutely this. there was never a question of what the result of his actions would be.
As others have said, Walters has been poor in defence in the few games he's had - and it's probably why Brian McDermott was hesitant to bring him on against Cas.
I'd say I wouldnt be suprised to see him drop out of the 17 on Friday, but with the new injuries would we have a replacement?
Mulhern back from Hunslet, and hope Delaney is fit?
Also, anyone know who got Man of the Match today?
