| I thought he went well and showed decent speed and defense on a couple of occasions were BJB was getting caught out in 2012. Can only bolster the squad if he continues in that vein but think BJB will be starting winger.

| Quote Harrigan="Harrigan"People seem to be going a bit OTT about this lads 1st half performance for me. I thought he was good but not great. He lacked pace for a winger.'"
....as does Hall
The legend that is Hall and the legend that was Alan Smith both show pace is not the only attribute that justifies the claim to be a great winger. Nobody finishes or finished better than these two.
He looked a good assett to the squad, but it does pain me to see the likes of the home grown Chisholm being (probably) pushed even further down the pecking order for a wing spot. Another one perhaps to join the ranks of Broughton, Amor and probably Singleton.
The Leeds club does seem to be making a habit of finding good young uns to benefit the whole of the SL at its then own future expense.

......Unless of course Hardaker and Watkins are joining Hall in the NRL and again we just don't know yet

Why would it pain you, he played better than Chisholm, surely you'd want the better of the two to get played. Whilst it's great to have academy products in the first team it's not vital that everybody is, and we still do as good a job as anyone in that department.
This is probably the exact reason why they announced it as a trial at first because it was predictable that some fans would get quite precious about an unheard Aussie getting ahead of an academy lad.

| I tend to agree with Nantwich re Hall`s pace.
I have seen no evidence yet to suggest Hall has the pace to burn someone on the outside.
Yes he is reasonably fast but is not in the pace to burn catergory IMO
You would normally see Hall coming inside when a pacy winger wold skin the fullback or opposition winger to score a try.

But like you said 'he is reasonably fast'......that'll do for a winger, especially if what he lacks in an extra yard in pace he more than makes up for in strength and showing a good intelligence of when to go for the line and when to cut inside. How often does BJB get taken into touch because he thought he could take his guy on for pace. Pace isn't that good if you don't know how to use it properly.

Amor is a Wigan Academy product that we signed from another professional club. You could make more of a claim that Vickery is a Leeds product than him.
