Donald 2007 was pretty special, the in and out and shake it all about still makes me smile thinking about it.

Also I'll add McGuires try under the sticks a few years ago. It wasn't anything special but it nailed the game for us

The two tries already mentioned from this year stick out, but I'm going to give honourable mentions for two tries in 2008.

Lee Smith - lovely hands across the line, nice angles of running and finally a peach of an offload from JJB in the conditions.

Ryan Hall - outstanding ball movement from left to right, Keith Senior's "tip" pass under huge pressure then a cool and inventive finish from the winger in the corner.

I'm often amazed at how infrequently a scrum is used as a means of attack. Even when its in your own half. There's been a few occasions this year when the opposing teams Full Back is packing down at Loose, and I think a kick from the scrum base and BJB pinning his ears back would've resulted in a try, even if he gets caught it would still be a huge gain territory and the first tackle.

And if teams got a bit wise to it, all that would do is result in them needing to leave a full back in position, which would then create a gap in the defensive line to be exploited.

I think scrums, wherever they are on the field, need to be treated more like Soccer free-kicks. Like a "set piece".
