I'm often amazed at how infrequently a scrum is used as a means of attack. Even when its in your own half. There's been a few occasions this year when the opposing teams Full Back is packing down at Loose, and I think a kick from the scrum base and BJB pinning his ears back would've resulted in a try, even if he gets caught it would still be a huge gain territory and the first tackle.
And if teams got a bit wise to it, all that would do is result in them needing to leave a full back in position, which would then create a gap in the defensive line to be exploited.
I think scrums, wherever they are on the field, need to be treated more like Soccer free-kicks. Like a "set piece".
