| A fired up and disciplined performance and we can win it. Whilst we have lost Mcguire we still have outstanding back up players and creative players, we just need them to step up.
On the plus side a few players have looked a bit tired and to be carrying knocks, Hall, Ali, and Bailey specifically would hopefully be a bit fitter and a bit more ready to go after a week off.
Or
If we arent fired up or are too fired up to keep our discipline then we will lose, maybe comfortably.
However there is no reason to suspect that this set of players would be the latter rather than the former

| Quote: Banielates "Got a bad feeling about this one.
What say you?
I'd like to see sinfield stay at 13 and webb move to 6. We need to replace mcguire with a player of similiar style. Webb is much closer to mcguires style than sinfield. But I trust McClennan to make the correct call. No one can sniff out a try like mcguire though, it's going to be tremendously hard to win a tight game like this without him, but as we've become accustomed to in recent years ---never write off the rhinos.
All the pressure is on wigan IMO.'"
and starts the same thread on the Wigan Board....
They are worded differently to try and provoke discussion on the respective boards.

It will be a cracker whatever happens!
I have told you, I did not mean those comments and am very sorry for them. It was a poor after match reaction.

| Donald will need to play again IMO.
Look the play he pulled on Richards in the last seconds. He trackd across from the other side. We need his blind pace. On one level in attack and another to clean up.
So for this reason, I would pop Smith to FB and Webb in the halves.
Webb in the halves will work fine.
In the attacking line, in danger zone, he pulls the strings. Always knowing when to play it acorss. Then in build up play, he hangs around looking for the second or third phase in support. But he never over plays or gets in the way. He lets the halves get on with their job and assists them. But I have no doubt that with more responsibilty he would offer even more of a threat.
And he's a rock at the back line. He sucks them bombs out of the air. Gone under the radar a little bit this year.

| I wonder if the Wigan players will be pumped up by the disgusting remarks and insinuations from McClennan that McGuire's injury was caused by a Wigan player in back play?

Assuming they adopt the same bitching, whining and chelping approach of Leeds current coach who hopefully wished injuries on players of other clubs, then I doubt it.
