| Quote G1="G1"I thought Life on Mars was absolute television genius but thought Ashes was formulaic and tired. gave up halfway through series one. I wasn't impressed when, in the 1st episode gene and his crew were running around firing automatic weapons. Life on Mars showed a fairly accurate depiction of the 1970s. Ashes seemed to be trying to pastiche Miami Vice rather than accurately portray 1980s Britain from the few episodes I saw.
The best thing on television? Nothing. It's all garbage. These days I watch about an hour a day, if that. It's usually re-runs of scrubs or 30 Rock which I agree is good comedy.
Oh, I do have Glee on Sky+ but that is just me safely pandering to any homosexual tendencies.'"

That's obviously a gay storyline, obvious.

| 'Stephen Hawkins Universe' has been excellent, although limited to those with Discovery Channel.
'Man vs Food' is currently harmless fun on 'Food Channel'.
Currently catching up on back episodes of 'Modern Family' which is a similarly styled comedy akin to 'The Office'
Kids have discovered 'Loony Tunes' 'Tom & Jerry' and 'Pink Panther' on Nickolodeon and Cartoon Network, and it is my duty as a Dad to sit and watch the cartoons with them!!!

Hang on. You've got Keeley Hawes done up in stockings and sussies and you claim dissatisfaction with the episode?
Series 1 of Ashes to Ashes took a bit of perseverance but I thought it got better as time went on. By the end of series 1 I was quite happy with it, and feel the same now.
As for TV generally I'd agree but at the moment I watch slightly more than normal via Sky plussing Frank Skinner, La La Land, Outnumbered and Ashes to Ashes. Other than that I might watch the odd QI or Buzzcocks (as long as Simon Amstell was presenting).

You. That's what's up with me, you. Watching telly and when two girls kiss you get a stiffy.
'Snork...did you see those two girls kissing on primetime TV this week? Tee hee. Unbelievable.'
