No, it's called proving you wrong..... You made a comment he corrected you. Fair enough.
McNamara deserves some support. He's got the job and there's not that many others to choose from. Mcdermott isn't the great choice some would make out either. Nor Kear to be honest.

Prove me wrong on what, I made a light hearted remark on the Manly Vets team, then had a lesson about the average age of antipodians, of which, like Mcnamara I don't really give a flying fu@k about.

Why should I? That has nothing to do with the point I made.
I'll answer your new point though.
He signed a number of relatively cheap players to fill out the squad. He had to. He inherited from Noble a youth development programme in tatters (he's fixed that, and the results are starting to flow through now) and a serious lack of available funding (the club is not able to spend the salary cap - some at Leeds know a major reason why). With the funds he has had available (apparently we have the fifth-lowest player spend in the competition), to be able to bring in Orford, Kearney L'estrange, Hall - and of course Menzies - is nothing short of amazing.
Platt is doing fine in the centres now (at fullback he struggled once his confidence was shot) and Sherriffe has done much better this year after an awful 2009 (albeit with relapses). He was one of our best performers in the opening games. Worrincy went seriously backward after a great start last year, and at present the jury is still out, to put it kindly. Young Whitehead has displaced him. None of them will be major costs to the club.
And as for the MPS creature who so kindly called me a sad twät - well I've been posting on here for many years, and have seen any number of fekkwits like him come and go. The reason I had the age facts was because an even bigger perennial fekkwit on TotalRL was incessantly pedalling the same nonsense. I decided one day I'd show him up for the sad twät HE was.

| I am ambivalent.
I thought Mcnamara was a good young coach for some time when he first emerged. That view has diminished a bit with the Bulls demise but that is, in all probability, not his fault.
I know he's very well liked by his players.
The coach of our international set up is not going to push us over the edge in beating the Aussies anyway, we need much more than a coaching change, so why not give a young British coach a chance. It's not like there was loads to choose from anyway.

Our biggest game last year was Hull away as if one more result had have gone our way we would have been in the 8. We won that one.
Or, as many Leeds fans think, the visit of Leeds is every team's cup final, we won that one too.
Quote fiddestherhino="Rich Rhino"I think its a similar appointment to Steve McClaren for England football coach (TERRIBLE). At least McClaren won something with borough before he got the job what has this muppet done?
I would have give it to Brian McDermott'"
What has Brian McDermott won?
FWIW, I don't think that McNamara is a brilliant coach, but he's not as bad as most make out. He's been on a limited budget at Bradford, he's got us from unsustainable losing £££££££ to breaking even. He's completely overhauled the youth development and personally encouraged most of our best youngsters (Whitehead, Donaldson, Addy) to come to Bradford instead of Leeds, Wakefield, Cas or Hudds. He's also attracted the likes of Orford & Menzies, again on a limited budget. He's not the messiah, but we could do worse for an international coach.
Btw, for you who think he's a terrible coach, read what JP has to say about him.

Is your view likely to show some resurgence if the current Bulls renaissance continues?

| Personally I'd love to have seen Graham Murray given a go - he was absolutely at his best coaching players to outperform expectations, which is exactly what England need to do.
However, given the daft requirement for a full time coach (what the heck will he do for the other 8 months of the year???) then McNamara may be a reasonable choice. I'd also have to say that the Bulls' demise has very little to do with him - he may have had some involvement in signings, but when the Bulls looked to the likes of Sheriffe and Worrincy it wasn't like they chose them ahead of signing Josh Morris and Nathan Hindmarsh.

Thankyou for your glowing tribute, I am moved.
No need to explain yourself & Don't let a bit of name calling get under your skin, its only a forum. Me, I am a perennial fekkwit (i like that, I must use it sometime!) who like others will come & go, but if for some reason I am still on here in years to come quoting averages of antipodeans please me, as then I will be a perennial fekwit & sad tw*t.

| Oh Dear. I came in early to catch up and whilst having the regulatory cuppa logged on for 5 mins.... never a good idea!
Its hilarious to read on our Forum, the much despised Southstanders, a pair of gormless Bulls supporters attempting to bolster McNamara's status, when every real Bulls supporter that I talk to can't wait for him to depart! And has been for quite a while.
Yes Adey, we know your a real supporter, but just lately you taken to talking out of your rectum. Kindly keep that sort of nonsense to your own Forum, where Bull is in great demand.
The list for the England job was pretty short, and I hope that Mcnamara is actually able to take the National team forward. Which failing Rugby team he previously managed is irrelevant now.
