Were you behind the sticks or behind him in the touch line stand? I was sat about 5 metres behind the touch judge and I thought it was straying to the side of the left hand upright, although time seemed to go so slow it might have been my mind playing nasty tricks on me!!

Side line was I. Perfect angle with Sinfield and the sticks. Was halfway up the stand too and it is the best view of a memorable moment I can remember  | | | |

I was thinking that yesterday looking at the highlights and the weather forcast. Its around the same weekend too isnt it? A month before the final used to be held on the 1st weekend of May.

Especially after the difficult ones he landed before. That one was fairly easy. I know when Smith scored that last try a family next to us walked out never to be seen again. Reckon they were gutted when they walked in the house ![]()

Thanks for that link - great memories and the most enjoyable leeds game I've attended.
It's balanced out somewhat by Smith's awful performance in the final though.
