| To be fair to Flex we haven't beaten Sts since March 2018, barely troubling them since. I'll also admit to thinking we'd lose at Cats and then Wigan before the game, and the GF will be really tough whether its Sts or Salford.
I'm not sure we can keep winning while giving away big yards every set, but we seem to. But oddly enough I think the key is our attack. Its been spluttering for a while and it needs to improve again to give us a real shot IMO.

| We haven't, but he might want to reflect on how far this teams come and enjoy it a little.

Don't think anybody thought we were favourites to beat Catalans or Wigan and that's what makes it so sweet. Any anybody with an iota of RL knowledge knows that if Saints (who are a magnificent team) get there they will be heavy favourites. But I just don't get how people seem to take such satisfaction in saying Saints will win. It's as if their desire to be correct in predicting the winner of a sporting event eclipses any joy in their own teams remarkable journey. Just can't get my head round it.

Agree with this. Brian McD was coach last time we beat them 4 and a half years ago.
It’s been an amazing run under Smith and great fun to watch again.
Traditional recipe for how to lose games
Slowish defensive line speed
Fairly passive with the ball carrier
Rarely putting the attacker on the floor
Allowing quick play the balls and big yardage
Having only 3 props
Making little yardage coming out of our end
Slowish attack line speed.
At times disjointed with the ball.
We’ve done all this and won 11/13 and not lost in the UK since a heavy defeat at Saints in June.
Whatever happens he’s properly got us going again. Who knows what could happen if we start doing any of the above well?
Loved it last night I could not see the last 2 wins and I can’t see us beating Saints if they beat Salford but hoping for 1 more dose of bonkers, against all odds Rohanball.
Thought Bentley was superb last night.

| Well done Leeds. Absolutely no complaints from me about the result. I thought you showed a real 'Sinfield-esque' approach of trying to control the game when he used to basically dictate 25 other players around with his boot. Obviously not quite the kicking game last night but the decision to go for two, absorbing pressure and knowing when to strike had Sinfield's blueprint all over it. I though we were toothless with Tommy and Powell coming back in regardless of how much pressure we applied to your line in that first half.
I have laughed at the Bentley signing all season but last night he showed that when he controls his aggression and focuses on the task in hand, he is an international standard player. In that first half when we were on your line i was waiting for him to pop and do something silly with frustration but he held it together and it turned out that our international second rower was the one that lost his head with a shambolic tackle. I don't think he intentionally went in to harm Sezer in that way but he certainly did it intentionally to put a big hit on hm. He got it completely wrong and im so sorry that Sezer won't play next week. He has been a revelation since Smith took over.
Incredible that we are talking about Leeds in a GF after where you were at half way in the season. I think both of us have exceptional young coaches at the reigns and the march up the table will follow for both of us so there will be plenty of other big games to come me thinks between us.
Again, well done Leeds, best team won without a doubt. Brilliant game management.

Great humility shown sir.
It’s a miracle really what’s happened. I still don’t think a team who finishes 5th would be in the Grand Final, but we’ll take it with both hands…..

Do think Peet and Smith have a lot in common. Both don't get carried away in victory or defeat, both give credit to the opposition and don't bemoan bad luck, both would never dream of hanging their players out to dry. In short: both class acts.

Fully agree. Proper rugby league men, not worried about which car, train or plane refs are travelling in!

| Wow. What a great solid performance last night.
I must say, this season I have quite 'enjoyed' watching the pies. Peet has got them playing some decent rugby.
Smith. I never ever thought we would have such stark contrast in performances. It really does feel like a Bruce / Howe situation. Smith seems extremely grounded and humble. He's got the lads fitter and grafting and the whole spirit in the camp looks great.
