| I heard Wigan were in discussions with Tony Smith to take over from Lam.
Could be a chance for Leeds to bring him back. It would seem to be the obvious choice.

“When Kevin returned to the club last summer his primary focus was to restore the team to challenge for honours and he has the full support of our board to do this.”
I know GH isn't going to sack himself, but obviously Furner, Sinfield, Agar and whoever is incoming are picking up the pieces from the criminal way the retirement of a host of great players retirement since 2015 was 'planned' for.

| All seems a bit odd. The transition was always going to take a while and be a bumpy ride. Viewed from afar sacking Furner after 14 games seems a bit hasty, unless something else happened or it was clear the players had totally lost confidence. Given the obvious deficiencies in the team I don’t think any new appointment is going to transform things quickly, especially if it’s Agar. What happens if results continue as they are? Do you sack Agar or the next bloke?
It’s all a bit reminiscent of the 80s and early 90s.

| Unless the club have bought into the fans nostalgia about the likes of Graham Murray transforming a bunch of also-rans into cup winners...
As ever I hope to be proven wrong but we need nothing short of the second coming to turn the likes of Lolohea into Iestyn Harris and Liam Sutcliffe into Adrian Morley. And there are too many Jamie Mathious in the squad as it is, although at least he could tackle.

| I hope we go for Griffin or Flannagan with Marshall added to the staff.
However i wouldn't be against Tony Smith returning either his "Disciplinarian" rules are needed imo

Flanagan and Griffin are arguable two of the best coaches in the game. Flanagan is left with no choice but Super League or change career, due to his ban. Both concentrate on player development and togetherness. Think one of them will end up at Wigan.

| This is a very interesting move.
The club have preached the need for patience but sack the coach after 3 months.
I'm not saying it's the wrong decision per se as on field performances hadn't improved but we need to be careful this doesn't set in motion a swing door approach to coaches. Long term success is always built out of stability.
Furner was their first choice only now he isn't. Need to get it right this time.
