But why does one artificially created boundry mean you are from a place and another mean you are?
And no i'm not a from the city of wakefield, i never have, i never will be, if over night leeds and bradford councils were to merge and the name of the new council was bradford that would not make the people of leeds from bradford, they would still be from leeds.
Are you suggesting one night in the 70's the people of castleford stopped being from cas and were suddenly from wakefield? if you do then you clearly dont understand the issue at all. |

Correct with the first two wrong with the third one, but as meatloaf says two out of three aint bad.
As you have stated castleford is a town, i come from a town. If i came from wakefield i would come from a city not a town but as i quite clearly dont come from wakefield (coming from castleford many miles away) i dont come from the city of wakefield or any other for that matter. Likewise if all the councils of west yorkshire where consolidated to huddersfield i would still be from castleford and you would still be from leeds, even though your local council would be huddersfield.
In the same way the people of hull didnt stop being from yorkshire when there county was renamed humberside, they were still yorkshiremen never where they humbersidemen.
