Watching his performances through last year for Wakefield he was one of their stand-out players. He will fit well into the Leeds team and both he and the side should benefit from his inclusion.

From what I've seen of him at Wakey, I think he could be an asset to us. Certainly my Wakey mates, who have seen a lot more of him than me, rate him very highly and are sad to see him go. Lets hope we use him correctly and give him chance to settle.

Judging him on last nights PNG game would be daft. They played like 13 lads who had never met before for the first 20 minutes.

Kearney is all class. He is a much better full back than BJB and I am happy we have gone out and approached someone of his quality. He only turned 30 a month ago so isnt that old and plays at a high level consistently.

He will offer more creativeness when he chimes into the line than Hardaker but doesnt have the same upper body strength to break the tackles.

Hardaker is better but it's not a big step down.

What is Kearney's injury record like. He seems to have missed quite a few games since he came over to Bradford. Will be very disappointing if Hardaker leaves. A top quality player.
Competing for trophies is important but it's a shame to see two young English players leave to be replaced by overseas players who are not that much of an improvement if any on ths youngsters they replace.

Kearney had probably his best year with us last year. In a decent side he’d really shine. He’s got a good football brain, good hands etc. I think a lot of his injuries have been down to him having to do more than would normally be expected (make play, make too many tackles etc). He never shirks anything and while I’d be sad to see him go he deserves a bit of success. On the downside he’s not the greatest last line of defence but fullbacks seem to be more about their attacking ability now.
