its really only on days when leeds united are playing that you arent allowed in with a football shirt on. me and the old man are always in before leeds rhinos games in our shirts and they dont have a problem, they just dont want football thugs in on match days

Also if you google map it go to The Hop under the train station then there is the Midnight Bell and Cross Keys on Water Lane. Its a 20 min walk to the stadium from here'"
That's a good call, forgot that the german Market was in town

The missus and I went last year - got there at 2:00 on Saturday afternoon and queued for over an hour to get in.

It's how they've got it set up mate. The big square bar in the middle has gone to get more benches in. Now the bar is a standard one against one of the walls, and there aren't enough serving. Mad queues!

| I dont know why everyone goes to that massive bar. yes you always have to queue up to get in there. For me i prefer the little bar in the corner near The Thai Edge. Its alfresco drinking and thats where its at. Cant he Harris'd with queueing up for the big bar. Plus the little one you get served faster

| There's some great pubs with great locally brewed real ale. Why stand outside in the cold drinking tasteless pap?

| With the city centre so compact there is a smorgasboard of hostelries to choose from for all your tastes and all within easy walking/staggering distance of the train station where the shuttle service will operate from.

The ale at the christmas market is top notch if you know what to look for. Also you cant beat a gluweine and a cheeky Jagermeister! (purely so that you can play Jager dominos afterwards). And to be honest we'll only spend an hour there then onto the Townhall Tavern and then The Hop and Midnight Bell.
Anyone coming from outside of Leeds, can I suggest the Sky Bar in the Mint Hotel. If its a nice clear day you'll be able to pick your walking route very easily from the bar

| Its not that bad actually. Its got some cracking beer on. Its only poncy because its full of legal types from park square. I love having a slurp in there. All that matters is that the copany is good and the beer is cracking
