Of course we were in danger. Had Ah Van held onto a ball with a clear try begging, the whole middle eights would have looked totally different. Not even taking into account, had Salford put over the drop goal.

That's up there with we only lost x amount of games by 1 pt etc followed by ifs buts & maybes.
We didn't it never happened so we move on.

I meant in my opinion we were in more danger of not even qualicying for the MPG . Were very lucky in games and lu ky that Salford lozt there main man

Of course we move on luckily, but it doesn’t change the fact that to say we were not in danger is completely wrong. We were very much in danger, and needed luck to get out of it. Just like in some cases the opposite luck played a part in why we were in the mess. We didn’t get out of that relegation fight because we were any class above.

I just wish as a whole the whole ruck and wrestle was cleaned up.one of the big reasons the game is going down the toilet, rugby league used to be the greatest game because of its fast flowing crisp play, these days many games are like wrestle mania, friday was just a dire watch for neutrals.'"
Yes, Wigan are masters at staying very close to both sides of the legal spoiling line. But they are also brilliant at defence. For the last couple of months I have been dreading the semi ending up as Wigan away. Anyone else I would have been more confident of beating.

| lucky to win the Salford game and the Widnes game. That Widnes dropped catch in the last minute save us playing in the MPG at Toronto.

Well maybe but you're assuming the score against Toronto at home would have been the same, if that game had been win or MPG I would like to think we play better, anyway its an utterly pointless discussion with a load of what ifs, ATEOTD we didn't end up in the MPG and we are in SL next year, raking over the details of the games we have just played in is pointless, we have some new players and a new coach coming in we need to draw a line under the utter shambles of 2018 and move on.

| Quote: Fallon "Gale is great when things are going well. He really knows how to exploit the great platform he is given and looks a worldy. Problem is, when things aren't going well he seems more interested in getting mouthy and starting a load of push-and-shove than trying to drag his team out of their rut.
Players like Mags and Sinny could play whether we were on top or not.
It's for that reason that gale will struggle at international level where against the aussies and the kiwis we are often not on top but still need to figure out how to win.'"
This.
It’s one thing battering a team, swaggering around and mouthing off when on top.
When push comes to shove he can’t dig a team out like Sinfield or McGuire could / can.
Neither can Myler.

| After the First pre season friendly is out of the way there is obviously still a bit of work to be done with our 2019 squad. For starters we still have a few players who should be knowhere near our match day 17 even if we have another injury crisis we'd be better off giving young academy players a game if we had injuries. I hope within this next month before season starts we can get rid of the following either on loan or gone permanently Mullally, Walters and Ormandroyd for definite they are not Super league players at all and i would personally like us to get rid of L. Briscoe and L. Sutcliffe but i know that those two leaving this season are highly unlikely as Briscoe just signed a new 3 year deal which he doesn't deserve for his performances and Sutcliffe signed an extension last year but they are also not Super league players. But if we managed to get some of these dead wood players off our books I'd hope we Bring in a good solid meter making prop as i still think we lack one in our current forwards and i also think we should reward James Donaldson with a 1 year contract and see how he goes he could be useful to rotate with our other back rowers and is a better option than Walters and Ormandroyd put together. Come January 31st if our 2019 squad looks like this I would back us to win at least one trophy next year and would think we should be know where near getting dragged into the relegation battle.

For the umpteenth time, if clubs dont want players we are looking to offload then we are stuck with them and either they agree to go elsewere or sit out their contracts in the stands. Or we pay them off which still counts on the salary cap. But nobody wants them.
Also L Briscoe was given a contract based on his end of season performance, so obviously the Ceo Director of Rugby and head coach belived he deserved it, and thats all that matters.

I do understand how a contract works I'm giving my opinion that I would like these players to go i know it's not that easy and realistically all the players I've listed will probably sit their contracts out I was just giving my opinion on them like I'm entitled too, and i know why Briscoe got the contract but again in my opinion he doesn't deserve it but obviously my opinion must be wrong?

| On what I saw today Donaldson tries hard but offers little a rural quality. I saw nothing to separate him from Walters in terms of overall contribution so I see little point trying to offload one who isn't going to improve us for another who won't.
We are well stocked for the back 3 (Merrin, ward, Smith, ablett, JJB, Ferres, and then you have sutty who was as good as Walters and Donaldson today and petreu who can play there).
