| Been around the world and I, I, I
I can't find my Mason
I don't know when, I don't why
Why he's not turned up
And I don't know where he can be, my Mason
We should have just signed Tansey

| The Goons fans taught us it in 2009 when they used it for McGuire during the England v Aus 4 nations match at the Pie Dome!

| Quote AdmiralHanson="AdmiralHanson"Here's one from the Admiral's song book, for all you harking back to those heady October nights in Manchester not-so-very-long-ago ....
(With the utmost respect to the Beach Boys, the Barmy Army etc.)
Tune : Sloop John B (trad.arr)
[iWe all came over from Leeds
The South Stand Army and me
Around Manchester town we did roam
Four quid for a pint, forty quid for a seat
But with Sinfield as captain, we'll take the cup home
So hoist up the Rhinos sail
See how the mainsail sails
Call for the captain ashore
Take the cup home
We'll take the cup home
We'll take the cup home
With Sinfield as captain
We'll take our cup home
Cunningham's a broken man
Without Sculthorpe he has no plan
He tries to carry the team all on his own
He's losing his hair
But we don't care
'Cos with Sinfield as captain will take our cup home
So hoist up the Rhinos sail
See how the mainsail sails
Call for the captain ashore
Take the cup home
We'll take the cup home
We'll take the cup home
With Sinfield as captain
We'll take our cup home
Now Danny’s a caring guy
Helps kids in his spare time
But now he's gonna tear the Scousers apart
They can't stop his runs
And so Loiners have won
And with Sinfield as captain, he’ll take our cup home
So hoist up the Rhinos sail
See how the mainsail sails
Call for the captain ashore
Take the cup home
We'll take the cup home
We'll take the cup home
With Sinfield as captain
We'll take our cup home[/i'"
Admiral,
Can I just congratulate you on this song...
Sheer genius!
This HAS to be sung on Friday !!!

| More a repost really.
Mid 1980's (may have been v Fev)
Wakey 10 points down to fellow strugglers and they began singing "going down, going down" quick as a flash we returned with "so are we, so are we" made me laugh at the time - we did go down as it happens

One from the 80s there aimed at a certain Bradford / Wigan player, which was suddenly forgotten when he signed for Leeds ...

| Quote BBSWW="BBSWW"Andy Gregory packed his bags and said goodbye to Widnes, off he went with a sulkety sulk, sulk, sulk, sulk.....
Liked that.
Seems I still do.'"
Anyone remember the words to this ?
I know it started with an low [i"Oohhhhhh"[/i rising in volume and then in to [i"Andy Gregory packed his bags and said goodbye to the Widnes ... Off he went with a trumperty-trump, sulk ! sulk ! sulk !" [/i (It was sung around the time of Gregory's big money move from Widnes to Wigan)
Then there was a bit about [i"Kevin Dick was calling far, far away ..." [/i(Dick was the Leeds scrum half at the time and one of the few players with the measure of Gregory at scrum-half)
Having said that, I also recall a verse where [i"Ray French was calling, far, far away ..."[/i
Anyone who can put the full song on here, much appreciated ....

| Not a chant but a comment to one few years back at a Wigan v Warrington game.
The chant "The referees a w**k*r"
A Wigan speccie behind me shouted "I wish his father had been"
This season "Anthony Gelling, he s where he wants"
