| Ridiculous decision, extremely short sighted and will mean that any coach will now think twice about coming in.

| I was told that Leeds were interested in Wane about a month ago, but as it wasn't from one of my usual sources didn't think too much of it. It would be a very strange move though as Wane and Hetherington were hardly best buddies.

| I'm shocked, I thought at Least till the end of season. We were told to be patient. Who is going to come in now ? How are negotiations with a prospective new coach? How long does he get ? I think we are stuck with Agar "till the end of season then we'll assess the coaching situation with a view to a permanent appointment "

It really wouldn't surprise me. At least in some "consultancy" capacity.
In many ways, we need a cross between Wane and Furner. We've played better rugby in spells this year with ball in hand than we have for a good while but we're criminally soft. Furner running attack and Wane defence would be more palatable. I can't see Wane agreeing with that way of working either. I think he'd want overall control but who knows?
Whilst I disagree with the decision, when you think logically about it we've got the exact same problems we had 3 months ago with no signs of improvement in certain areas- particularly defensively. Whether or not this would've changed round with new recruits I suppose we'll never know. We've simply not improved under Furner in terms of results and consistent performances so are the problems that McDermott was sacked for the same ones that Furner has been shown the door for? Traditionally, you see some upturn in results, even if only temporarily, when a new coach comes in. That hasn't happened.
I just can't see who is going to fancy the job knowing you only have 6 months to prove yourself and succeed where two others have failed.

| Sorry for the guy seems a decent bloke, but results performance and improvements where not happening, had plenty of signings and side gone backwards forwards. Need a coach now who can get the best out of the current group of players, this squad may not be a trophy winning side but they are not bottom two either. Sort out it soft defence and we are mid table side.

McDermott won plenty, but then things went sour, but we are worse under Furner and everyone can see it, he had to go.

And I think this is where it starts and ends. Say what you want, we should be picking up more results than we are.

I always saw Wane carrying on from the foundation laid down by Maguire.

| I wonder who was involves in this decision to Sack Furner ? When they appointed him they obviously wanted an immediate improvement, but that was the same when Mac was sacked and Sinfield came in and performances got worse . I wonder if Sinfield is safe in his Job

The statement reads as if it is Sinfield's call. He absolutely has to get the next appointment right of the pressure if on big time IMO...
