as a Hull fan obviously chuffed that we have signed him. If it means that we lose Willie Manu then it will be bad business. Remains to be seen

Same as us really...got Manu and Tickle in great form with Whiting and Aspinwall as cover also Westerman injured with a couple of good youngsters coming through so is a suprise that we have got him but shows that now we have ambition and Pearson is prepared to back the coaching staff.

Very surprised but we move on good luck to Gaz will be interesting to see who else FC sign because they need more than Ellis to get into the top 4 imo.
As for the "rumour mill" Cest La Vie file this one under "Webb to Widnes" and accept we don't always get the right info from the "jungle drums" although Tvoc will be pleased to have some more ammo to throw around future rumours threads! curtain.gif

What a silly thing to say. Admit it, you're just bitter that he's not coming to Leeds.

I'm not getting into any silly tit for tat, as I think Hull should be applauded for pulling off this signing. He is better than just about any team in Super Leagues current best player in his position.

However, I am reliably informed that Leeds never even got round to making an offer for Gareth to return. They spoke to him, and as I am led to believe wanted him, but never actually made an offer to him or his agent. And only two super league clubs actually made an offer of a contract to Gareth.

I very much doubt our offer would of been much more "lucrative" if at all GH has stuck a rigid wage structure for yrs according to the club hence Sinfields speach after our 3-in-a-row and Ellis himself turning down more money from the Dulls and Wakey to sign for us in the first place.

What was all this crap to do with his dad? These posters just look complete idiots now. All i can say is with Adam Pearson in charge, the big clubs will start having to look over their shoulders. icon_biggrin.gif

Disappointed?...yes. Did we need him?...no. Was he a luxury that may have taken more cap than other successful squad members?...Yes.

To be successful you need a big squad depth with a fine balance of real quality on a budget, if Hull have thrown lots of £££££ towards him then good luck to them but its not the formula to win Super League at present.

Hold on cocka where did I say I'm not bitter? A bit disappointed maybe. If you want go say I'm bitter feel free.

But why is it silly? I'm confident that hull are still no hope with or without Ellis. Good luck to Gaz and FC. But if I fancy wearing an FC shirt to the NRL games and the 2/3 leeds games i will get to instead of my Leeds shirt then I will. It makes me a good sport rather than bitter. Coz I'm a man of my word.

Fc have come out and said he is on a decent wage but not massive amount to unbalance the squad and he did turn down more money from other clubs. World Class Signing so we are over the moon icon_smile.gif
