Quote: cheekydiddles "Both he and Holroyd were back at training, not IN training. His pre match presser pretty much said both are several weeks away from full training so clearly still a long way off playing'"

Ok. We were told 2w who that Holroyd was starting sprinting and may be rest for the Saints game…..
Some odd messages coming out…..

Quote: christopher "His comments re Sutcliffe IMO is about confidence the worst thing a coach could do at the moment with a team low on confidence is publicly flog them, that’s why I don’t think sezer was actually injured.'"

Maybe. Reading between lines I think he may be but that there's scepticism about the seriousness.

Just listened to JJB again. I can’t stop smiling when he speaks. Think that’s a good thing. He uses a lot of complex words, that don’t think he actually knows the meaning of, but has probably heard them in the church surmons we know he loves. Amongst all the gobbledygook he does actually give some really honest and clear insights into what’s going on behind the scenes, and it’s really refreshing to hear. The last coach who was so blunt and honest was Brian Mac. Now I know JJB won’t be head coach, but I definitely want to see him at our club for a long time as he’s a legend and inspiration…..

Even though the jar was open last night our fleas just couldnt quite jump out of it could they? The rusty shopping trollies remain at the bottom of the canal i fear.

In 1926 when Keighley won the cup yeah i read it in a book yeah that they had this scrum half called John the Baptist yeah n what he did what he did yeah was show fortitude, appitude, malieptitude and hisplanitude yeah and what he did yeah was he got his whole team to put their hands in a fire in a raging furness that kind of gave them this fortitude yeah and thats what we need yeah. And im from Bramley yeah and thats what im gonna do.

It's all opinions isn't it, but I profoundly disagree with you on this one. JJB is one of the coaches directly responsible for the current state of affairs. It's not like he walked through the doors last week. He has no business being anywhere near a leadership position in a sporting organisation that should aspire to be world class. If he wants to be a coach he needs to start far lower down the ladder and earn it (as he undoubtedly did as a player). Agar did the the honorable thing in stepping down and if JJB wants to trigger the kind of cultural change that he is forever wittering on about he should also step down at the end of his hopefully brief caretaker stint. Sorry for ranting.

That result means this is our worst start to a season since 1899.

As for JJB, I understand he was the only viable choice right now, but he needs to be gone as soon as possible. As you say Arthur, he's been around this complete collapse of the club both as a player and then a coach. We need root and branch change. No more acceptance of mediocrity from top to bottom.

But thats a clear sign of fortitude, apptitude and ineptitude surely? Its shows the players are keen to put their heads above the parapit while going down the proverbial foxhole to show fortitude that burns in a raging furness like Jesus Christ called for on the streets of Belle Vue when Wakey little Wakey won the Yorkshire Cup in the face of such adversity in 1898. And thats what everyone in Bramley, the big apple of Leeds, says Leeds needs right now.
