| Quote KaeruJim="KaeruJim"Reading his interview with Sinfield, I'd say the names were accurate. I feel sorry for Golding, thought he played well at times behind a beaten pack last season, and he has talent and commitment. It's probably right he moves on but we should remember that players are real people and not just assets.'"
Yeah. Feel massively for Golding if this is the case. 18 months since signing a 5 year deal at 20 years old, being given the no1 shirt of your hometown club to almost being cast aside for another 19 year old and now being told youre surplus to requirements must be tough for a young lad.

| The lad is SL quality for someone I think, but he will be gutted if reports are true. Having said that, I applaud Sinfield for bringing ambition back to Leeds and he knows the kind of quality required - which is something close to an NRL team (on a budget). Most positions, players should be at or near international class and Leeds should be aiming to be the best club side in the world - even if financially that's an improbable goal.

Heard exactly the same. Parcell and Myler fallen out apparently.

What a terrifying prospect. It would make McGregor and Khabib look tame by compare.

| Of the names mentioned to be let go, Parcell and to a lesser extent Garbutt are the ones I'd be most worried about leaving. These players could easily come back to bite Leeds if they went to another SL club. Whereas the others are largely replaceable, I'd be nervous about announcing these two departures in particular without better players lined up, and that's some task at this stage of the recruitment cycle.
Parcell seemed to struggle a bit after returning from injury this year, but he is undoubtedly a quality player when fit. As good as Dwyer has looked in the Middle 8s, Parcell seems better able to play longer minutes at a higher level.
Likewise Garbutt seems to be one of the only forwards to offer a real threat with the ball, but perhaps he has fitness issues.
Cuthbertson I can understand letting go the most of the bigger name players - some of his performances have lacked heart IMO, although there's room for sympathy if he has genuinely been injured and has been playing through the pain barrier.

| I will be worried if we lose Parcell. You just have to see who we had in previous years Beau Falloon who looked like he had never played RL before and Segeyaro who jumped as soon as he could. There is no guarantee we could get a replacement with half the talent of Parcell.

| Weren't we being linked with London's hooker Cunningham? Maybe this is Parcell's replacement.

Falloon on paper was a decent signing with s decent NRL pedigree, but it just proved that the super NRl is not the super high quality they think it is if people like him can get a gig for 5-6 years. amongst all the high quality players there is some drivel.

| Concerns me that we are willing to let players who feel like they are at the better end of the squad go, presumably to try and get someone else in.
Firstly, the replacement has to be better on the pitch, not just on paper
Secondly, due to salary caps and quotas, you can't just sign them, and wait for the players to leave. You have to move the decent player on, then hope that you can still land the better player. Risky strategy as you could either end up with 1 player less if you get rid, but the other player has been snapped up by someone else. Alternatively, you don't get the player and you can't move the old one on, but have told them there not in the plans, so you carry an unhappy player.

| Many on here have said we needed a big clear out - that looks as though it is happening, I don't think we can moan when some players we didn't expect to get moved on, get moved on. We as supporters don't know diddly squat about the day to day goings on at the club, some of these players, however good, may be part of the reason the 'Rhinos' culture seems to have gone, I suppose all we can do is trust Infields judgement on what's wrong at the club.
