I'm not McDermott's biggest fan but he deserved better from his players than that effort tonight.

If P45's are going to be handed out shortly, a lot of those players should be at the front of the queue.

People can talk about coaching all they want but players at this level who have shown they can do it previously don't need McDermott or Sinfield or Peacock to hold their hands to do simple things like tackle around the legs, know to kick the ball on the 5th and not be offside when you're kicking off.

Think it was Garbutt with that last offence but I'll cut him some slack because I don't usually bet but my mate was doing first try scorer so I thought I'll put £2 on McGuire and just as I was about to put £2 on Handley something stopped me and randomly convinced me to go for Garbutt at 50/1.....so silver linings and all.

We'll have no one to play and will end up forfeiting games if we hand out P45's to players based on performance.

A much less painful way to surrender 2 points.

Cuthbertson disappointed me a lot tonight in regards to effort. Even Galloway who has taken some stick tried more than most.

Oh and whoever suggests moving JJB back to 2nd row after what happened in that game when they murdered us in that area needs their heads checking. Said he wasn't mobile enough anymore to defend in that position and it showed badly tonight and a large chunk of Castleford's points came from the decision to play him there.

I think Galloway has at least had a dig. Put some good shots in defensively even when the game was gone.

Cant fault JJB for effort, but his legs have gone. If we have him and Delaney on the field at the same time we'll have the slowest pack in SL by an absolute distance.

I had JJB marked down as somebody who could still do a job if required in the second row. Its clear his days there are done now i concede. We look very weak with so many little guys on at once on the fringes though, Lilley, Burrow and Golding try their best but there are too many targets for the big guys from opposition teams to go at.

It's obvious to any sensible supporter that the true problems can be traced back to the floods in December, our game against the Kiwis & SPOTY.

Added to this our injury list is far worse than any other club.

Mr McDermott definitely knows what he is doing & is a tremendous coach. You only have to look at how highly motivated this whole squad looks, how structured our attack is, & how determined our defense is.

I would also argue that Mr Hetherington has it all under control & definitely hasn't been complacent about the non-replacement of Sinfield & Peacock - there are plenty of youngsters that can shoulder their burden.

The pack needs completely ripping to shreds and starting again, there's far too many big, slow flat footed props who struggle to cover their own space let alone asking them to do it without a hooker. Our back row is equally cumbersome.

Defence and our attitude towards it is awful. JP called the Saints players on it in their cup game, I'd hate to hear what he had to say about Leeds' effort tonight.

It's all about collective responsibility playing a team sport,it's that simple,train hard,get the coaching side implemented effectively,sort out a game plan,walk over the whitewash,do the business.we all know about the injury situation,but if all the team was fully fit,I don't see us getting much different results.its all about next season now.any more dear john letters from Gary will just show what utter contempt he has for the fans.
