| It seemed obvious that as soon as we opened up we looked like a totally different side. We were playing within ourselves for most of the match. But all credit to the crusaders their defense was excellent for 65 mins. Also the last try should not have been given.

Silverwood is the man you want to thank. I think he must have had the same bet as you. Dear me.

1230.gif “You are playing a game of football this afternoon but more than that you are playing for England, and more even than that, you are playing for right versus wrong. You will win because you have to win. Don’t forget that message from home. England expects every one of you to do his duty.”:1230.gif |

Plus the other one which was a knock-on.

The mcguire one? It was an offload which hit a crusaders player, not a knock on!

| Really enjoyed the last fifteen minutes of the match. They’ll be no end in sight to this Leeds dominance in super league this year IMO. We could go unbeaten. But I’m not betting against it again with Oldham because I had to donate a 50p tip in star bucks the other year.
But yeah no end in sight!

| I'll stand by what I said over 12 months ago. Eastwood is a fat waste of a contract. His first real contribution after almost 30 minutes was to give the ball away. Watch again, where was he for his first spell on the pitch?

Give him a chance, I think I'll take the views of the international coaches over you though thanks.

Bit one-sided refereeing at the end of the second half, but take nothing away from the Crusaders effort, I think they may come above Salford this season.
Are you a tiny bit worried about this performance?'"
oh yeah totally brickin it.
first game of the season away from home, in the snow and freezing conditions, against a team that has nothing to lose and is fired up. who's coach makes playing leeds their biggest game of the season every season whichever club he's at and we score 6 tries and keep the opposition to 1 try nilling them in the second half, without peacock, webb and burgess. we did better than the first game of last season.
we have the points, our season is up and running.

Looked to me like he was trying too hard. Going for huge hits, and missing, and trying tricky offloads.
I'm sure he'll go well

I said a tiny bit.
That Crusaders were able to dominate the champions for several points in the match, and that they contained you for much of the first half.
Okay, you ran away with it in the end, but I would have expected the champions to put in an 80 minute performance in their opener.

I think he was trying to force the pass too much. However, from what I saw of him in the NRL last year, I think he'll impress a lot more in the Summer on the hard ground, he has very good feet for a forward, and a good offload.
Think MoM was McGuire tonight, he threatened the line more than anyone else. Delaney was impressive and quite elusive, Donald should go a lot better this season outside him.
I also think that your outside backs suffered due to Webb not playing, Watkins didn't link up between the stand off and the centre, but that's expected in an unusual position for him. Is Webb injured, or is he just being rested, by the way?
