I'm just trying to give another example to make things clearer.
Ask most people where Cas is and, looking at the postcode or map they'd say its a suburb of Wakefield, same as Kippax and the rest of Leeds.
I expect most people from Cas would feel that way - to assosciate with the bigger and more glamourous parent town.

yeah looks like your trolling.
And by the way most people looking at a map seeing two sperate locations with open land inbetween wouldnt say they are the same place. Unless you give it to them in the waiting room at specsavers.
Also there isnt a bigger town than castleford in the district so there cannot be a bigger town than cas to be associated with.

Ok, so you don't agree for some reason but there's no need to dismiss it as trolling just because of that.
Cas has a Wakefield post code for a reason - Cas is effectively a Wakefield suburb.
Thats not to demean places like Cas, Fev or Ackworth by the way.

That reason is that the post office allocated some artificial boundries in order to ease administration needs, there was no other reason, and it has no other effect other than to simplify post office sorting offices procedure.
I once worked in a Doctors office, for administration purposes we split up the local area in to lettered zones (so that the gp's knew which area was there reponsability for house calls) so for instance certain streets were marked G on our map, this had no effect on the people of those streets, they didnt suddenly come from zone g, we like the post office had no powers to change where a person was from.

It really isnt though. Have a look at a map and you will see it lies within the Metropolitan Borough of Leeds hence it belongs to Leeds. I'm Morley born and bred nd could say the same for Morley but i won't. Morley is paty of Leeds, just like Pudsey and Hunslet and so on.

That would be convenient if true.
Doesn't Cas come under Wakefield Council too?

| So with no one attempting to put a Leeds Born XVII together I’ll try a new one..
1. Mick Shoebottom
2. Jason Robinson
3. Syd Hynes
4. Garry Schofield
5. John Atkinson
6. Danny Mcguire
7. John Holmes
8. Karl Harrison
9. James Lowes
10. Jamie Peacock
11. Gareth Carvell
12. Andy Lynch
13. Ellery Hanley
14. Barry Seabourne
15. Ryan Bailey
16. Jamie Jones-Buchanan
17. Jamie Thackray
You’ve got to remember I’m pulling information from the internet mainly. Andy’s Gran lives down the road from me so am sure he’s from Leeds like wikipedia tells me so. If I’ve got it wrong then put me right!

The point is that council is irrelevent to where you are from, which council you belong to is decided by which administrative centre is closest, so even if your the nearest administrative centre is miles away, in a completley seperate location, with no links to your location you will have that as your local council. to say that the number of places in britain you can come from is the number of councils is ludicrous.
And i have no idea if they teach geography at brigshaw as i have never been there.

Well then its convenient, as it is true.
Yes the local administration centre is in wakefield, it was in castleford but in order to save money it was moved to wakefield, when it did the town did not move to another location, its stayed in the same place, as castleford, a seperate place from wakefield. Castleford also has a pontefract phone number (due to the fact pontefract is more central to the 5 towns so some worker at the phone company based the area code from there outwards) but that (obviously) doesnt mean i am from pontefract either.

How old are you
Danny McGuire has been a vital part of our success and surely deserves a place as the starting six IMO. Although Barry has twice been named player of the year it doesn’t calculate to what Danny’s archived in this current Rhinos team. Three back to back titles in a row is the best the club has ever had and that’s why Danny for me edges Barry in the starting six role.

You're certainly not from Ponte.
You might have their dialling code but council and postcode clearly shown you're a proud citizen of Castleford, Wakefield.
